Great video
Oh Yea! Great Stuff! What a great way to start the day ...
Dang Chad, you beat me to it
In the spring of 2014 "Untamed" debuted at the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Rendezvous in Denver. Since then, it's toured around the US and Canada with the Hunting Film Tour. It's also touring with the Outdoor Film Tour & Festival and received the Pope and Young award for best bowhunting film. It has also been translated into French for showing at Arc Aventure, a French bowhunting film festival. Untamed is a film that reaches across historic divides by focusing on the innate biophilia that all humans experience, hunters and non-hunters alike. Today, I'm finally able to release it online.
Untamed is all traditional bowhunting but the story transcends the weapon. I've heard from all sorts of people ranging from non-hunters to hard core riflemen and all have had nothing but praise for the film. That's something I never really expected. I think that's because I'm very careful about not pushing my own views onto others. I know I do things different and the majority of hunters just don't share my level of interest. But, I think all hunters would benefit by taking an honest hard look at why we hunt and what we're really after. That's something I think very few of us ever really do. This film, in a way, is my attempt to do just that and to show the world what I found. Enjoy the film and don't forget to share it.
Thanks, ch

Just got the chance to watch. Thank You Clay!
Well done Clay, well done. My wife and I both enjoyed it. I've been looking forward to it since the e-mail announcing it. I will be watching it more than once.
Thank you sir.
So I sit here at the close of the video finding myself simply staring at the screen with my mouth wide open......WOW!
Bravo Clay! Somehow I think we'd get along!!!!
Please, please, please do more of this...
I remember watching it when he first completed it as someone that helped fund his effort. I was amazed someone could do that quality of work as an amateur. Not only was the videography stunning but the message was equally as poignant and touching to me as a bowhunter.
I have linked it and shown his YouTube and website to many....told others to record it off Sportsmans Guide Film Tour...and made sure those attending BH&A events view it as well.
He is the voice of the traditional bowhunter I want representing me....not only traditional bowhunters but he has the mindset and respect for the animal and this tradition that does it great justice. Videos of this caliber should be mandatory viewing for any Hunters Education class or youth archery program for those that aspire to be bowhunters in their own right. Clay did an outstanding job and I am looking forward to more great works from this man.
It would be great if PBS would get him to speak and show his film at the upcoming 2016 Banquet in St Augustine!
Loved the video! Shared in a Brazilian forum.
Great job Clay! I will also be donating to your new upcoming video.
Bill-
Thank you; this will be shared for sure.

I agree. I've watched it several times so far. I've never seen anything else that hits home for me like that does.
Nothing else I've seen explains my own feelings about hunting, and traditional archery better.
Bob
Awesome!
Actually made my wife watch that one. High Praise
Thanks everyone, for the comments and for helping to spread this film around. As of a few minutes ago it had over 5500 views in just 2 days. That's pretty damn good.
I've heard some great comments, even from some "hi-tech" sites where it's been posted. Let's keep it going.
thanks again, ch
Fantastic video. Something there for everyone hunters and non hunters alike.... I have sent the link to my grand kids it will be a great teaching tool I am sure they will come away from it with a deeper insite into hunting and the outdoors.
AGAIN ....... CLAY GREAT JOB :clapper:
Clay,
You are an amazingly talented guy! You said it wonderfully, and I love and appreciate all the work you do regularly to share the outdoors with others through all your videos!
:clapper:
Awesome job guys
FANTASTIC!!!!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
The work it takes to accomplish such a film has to be respected. My hat is off Sir! Well done.
Super film, thanks for sharing it with us.
Clay,
Outstanding! the work alone was worth the admission :bigsmyl: And the message was loud and clear.
I have not taken the next step into making my own bows but have such a longing to do so. My hunting journey has steadily been regressing from gun to compound to recurves to longbows and I'm enjoying ever minute of it.
Yep there have been plenty of lean years in the process if I had to base my successes on the "kill" only.
But its about finding that indescribable connection between the hunter and his prey that keep me in the game.
Thank again for reaffirming and recalibrating the compass!
Great video Clay. I'll be sharing it with many people. I know the hard work that goes into something like that, and I appreciate you sharing it for free with us.
Very nice, great work. I would not know where to begin in making something like that.
Sharing it to as you requested on facenews ect....
Superbly done! I was moved to contribute to your in production project, 'Ascent'. Keep 'em coming
FANTASTIC film.
