My Bigjim Thunderchild arrived Friday. I couldnt be much happer. Jim out did himself with his craftsmanship. Its 54" 52@28 black and white ebony veneer, leadwood riser with a custom grip and sheep horn tips and overlay onthe back.
I shot it Friday and took to the ITBA shoot yesterday to give her a run. She shot extremely well. She fired those heavy arrows with authority even at my 25" draw.
Im having problems resizing the pictures on photobucket could someone pm me their email address so I could send them my pics to download?
Good luck with your new stick!
I don't know what your pic problem is, but you don't have to resize pics anymore for Trad Gang. It does it automatically when you post them here. Just copy the IMG link (on photobucket it is the bottom of the four choices) and paste it here.
Bisch
Didn't know that Bisch. Thanks I give a try.

love big jims beaver grips,,,are there any trade shows or meets I could fly and meet Big Jim
Jim is an aggressive business man and works hard to present to the trad community what he has to offer. He makes many events of which 2 that are at Tannahill park in Alabama. These are annual events and you can watch the events and gatherings forum for times and places.
Nice
She's a beauty, congrats!!!
Bob
Congrats on the new bow Mike! It's beautiful!! Maybe we can get together again and shoot some. I enjoyed hanging out and swapping stories with ya. I have to say that bow will be an awesome ground blind bow. It'll be hard not staring at it though.lol
To say Jim out did himself......No!
That's Jim's MO. He out does himself on every bow he makes.
I have a buffalo of his making that I am I Awwww of every time I take it out. I can't wait to order another bow from him maybe I'll try a TC. But I love my buffalo so much I have no desire to buy another bow.
Nice bow!! Enjoy ;)
She's a looker! Congrats brother!
Again, a beauty. I'm especially glad to see the grip he worked up for you. That's exactly the shape that works for me - didn't know he'd build 'em that way.
Top of my list for my next (overdue) bow for sure.
Thats a beauty!
Great bow there Bud, hopefully next time im in Central City we can meet up and and I sling a few from her.
Brian
Sounds good Brian. Did you hear about Uncle Lee's opening backup?
Really beautiful! May it bring good luck!
Pretty bow, just my style and my specs... Enjoy!
Looks great!
I'm having a bow built with a leadwood riser as well.
Hopeful my leadwood looks at least 1/2 as good as yours.
Are those "amber" bamboo cores?
Looks very nice next to the leadwood.
Zradix, youll like the leadwood its prettier in person. Because you cant tell the grain in the pictures.
Its whatever core BigJim put it in. The only woods are n the riser that I know are black and white ebony and leedwork which is the dark brown.
Mike
I did hear about it. That's great news for the county, and great news for me when I visit home

You did good! Great looking and shooting bow
An artistically and extremely well crafted bow...
Michael honored me Saturday by permitting me the splendid experience of running several arrows through his dream bow. Considering that she is 54"s and I draw a little over 28', she exhibited a comfortable ride and was right on the mark. Having historically not being a short bow proponent, this particular bow would be both a comfortable and confident fit within my hunting setup.
Thank you Michael for sharing the enlightening experience and thank you Big Jim for the wonderful and valued contributions of which you continuously provide to our beloved traditional world.
Sweeeeeet!!
Very nice looking bow!
What an offer from Yukon joe for a Alaskan bowhunt for those Sitka blacktails, that's a once in a lifetime offer!
