OK Gents,
I am considering purchasing one of the bows. But, there is precious little information on them. If you have ever shot or owned one of these bows, would you please post your thoughts. Additionally, if not the Biccerstaffe Flatbow, what other flatbows have you shot and what are your recommendations? I want to move into the primitive side of archery and your thoughts and or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Rick this is the same guy who builds ELB's based in the UK right? He seems to have a good rep from what I've read. I've been loving the John Strunk flatbow / r/d bow I snagged on the classifieds, food for thought- for what the Bickerstaffe guy charges for a new one you might want to call John himself in Tillamook, Oregon..far as I know he's still building bows and he could likely compete on the price. Imagine, a bow from the master himself. They are special. I should have brought the one I have to TBOF. Next time.
Rick, I was this close to buying one of their bows. Couldn't decide between the ELB or flatbow, in the end my deterant was the exchange rate.
I searched to find all the info I could other than their website and found only good comments about Pip and his men.
The exchange rate is $1.50 to the pound Sterling and pushed the cost beyond my reach...for now. Otherwise I would be shooting one.
In the U.S. we are exempt from the VAT (value added tax) that someone in the UK would pay but shipping takes the place of the most part of it.
Hi,
I'm sure you have a new bow by now, but I am about to buy a Bickerstaffe flatbow in the next couple of weeks. I've asked around and watvhed what videos I could on the bow and I am loving the look of it.
Nothing but praise so far on the shoot ability and workmanship of the bow.
Thanks for your time,
Steve
