This past weekend was the 14th year of the Outdoor Skills Camp for the students and families of the Missouri School of the Deaf and the United Bowhunters of Missouri were there, as always, running the archery range and 3D course. This is such an uplifting event to participate in because, most of the time, this is the only vacation these families will take and the kids just love shooting bows!

Here we are unpacking and assembling all the new bows we purchased. Thanks to all of you who donated money to help us replace our stolen equipment!

Getting the range ready...A storm blew through early Saturday morning which helped keep the temperature tolerable that day.

We were quite proud of this young man's shooting. Heck, I can't shoot a turkey target that well!

I've had this little guy out on the 3D course for the past couple of years and he is always a treat.

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Major good karma coming to those who took the time to spend time with a child.... :clapper:
:bigsmyl: :clapper: Good for all of you that help put that on. Those are some great pics - I love pics of young kids shooting. No form, no fears, no concern over tuning - just pure joy of shooting.
What a great effort... in many ways you all gave the gift of archery... some of these kids may come back to the sport and find a life-long passion that helps them in tough times and is just plain satisfying in good times.
Thanks for your posting this!
Good stuff. My hat is off to you folks!
