How many do you carry when just going out for a few hours close to home? I carry 2 broadheads and 1 blunt.
Two BHs, no blunts. My buddies think that I'm crazy but I like the lightness of a slender longbow and a sleek two arrow quiver
3 broadheads, 1 judo point and 1 field point
I use a 5 arrow quiver, so I carry 5 arrows! Most of the time I carry all broadheads, but once in a while I will go with 4 broadheads and a blunt/judo. I use the same quiver whether I am close to home or far abroad!
Bisch
4 broadheads,1 judo/blunt
Depends on what and where I'm hunting. If hunting white tails then a five arrow bow quiver.
If hunting Javelina and doing a lot of walking, I have a back quiver with no less than eight.
3 broadheads and a bunny buster!
4 broadheads 1 judo/blunt
If Im using the EFA quiver I carry 3 broad heads and 1 blunt. If I have the GN quiver its 4 BH and a blunt
I usually carry 4 broad heads and one hammer blunt tip.
When I used a 4 arrow quiver, it was 3 bh's and one field tip with a shell casing glued over it for a blunt tip just in case I come across a Grouse. Now that I have a 6 arrow quiver, I may go 5-1 or 4-2.
Usually 3 broadheads and one blunt.
I use a 6 arra selway. 4 broadheads, 1 blunt of some fashion, and one field tip. I like to make a
Practice shot on the walk in of the evenings. It's about 3/4 mile in to where I hunt so while leaving the truck I usually find a mud hole or bank with a suspicious looking leaf to shoot at.
4 broadheads in a catquiver mini.
I carry 5 arrows on my bow and a side quiver full of blunts.
Great northern so 5 arrows. All broadheads
4 BH and a judo
7 in a catquiver all with broadheads, Blunts are for rappers...
I always carry 5 broadheads and one with a grass hopper & field tip attached outside my quiver.

8 squirrel arrows and 6 broad heads in my quiver. And extras in my truck.

Three good broadheads, one sacrificial broadhead and a blunt.
Been taking four and will again this year, but will be including an extra rubber blunt tipped arrow using one of those piggy-back connectors. We have a bear problem here in NJ and I'm tired of having my sits ruined when one of the bruins shows up (which occurred 25 times last year). Have heard that a Judo point can/will penetrate the hide so don't want that to happen. Just want to give the offender something to think about before showing up in that area again.
5 arrows on the bow.
Usually I have 4.. I'd rather have too many than not enough. I remember the days I would carry 2 because thats all I had lol.
3-4 usually....primarily use a 18 year old Lakota style quiver I bought from guy in back of magazine. Also use limited GN Quiver and usually carry 4 arrows and one Judo tipped in it. Have a Steve Catts side quiver on order that will allow more but will likely still only carry 3-4 arrows as got it more to allow 3 blade head carry that my Lakota does not.
I figure one shot...after one miss...with one as extra is enough. LOL
3 broadheads, 1 judo point for me!
I carried 4 broadheads with me last deer season and will probably do the same this year. However I'm headed to WY in a few weeks and am making some more just to have 'em. If I do my part I'll only need to one, right?!
I typically use a bowquiver that holds 4. I have been shooting all summer without it though. I believe I may carry 6-8 with me in my Safari Tuff quiver this year.
-Jeremy :coffee:
About a dozen in my back quiver 6 BH and 6 blunts.
Three broadheads, one hex head. Unless I am skwerl hunting, when I carry about 20 nutters and my Shrew hawk.
ChuckC
My package came with 6 broadheads, so I carry 6.
3 broadheads ( zwickey delta, bear razorheads) and a judo in a 4 arrow EFA bow quiver.
Typically three broadheads more than I need, or three, and one blunt.
i always have four at the minimum. I usually have multiple tags, plus I prefer the extra weight.
I always carry 5 broadheads. I'll inavertentyly nock at least 1 off the string and drop it. Then if I shoot at a squirrel I'm down to 3. 3 is a reasonable number. Then when I miss a deer I only have 2. If I started out with 2 I'd never have a chance.
3 broadheads.
4 BH tipped arrows.
Four or five broadheads and a Judo point.
5 arrows with broadheads.
Usually 5. 3 BH and 2 small game of some kind.
3 broadheads and either a Judo point or rubber blunt.
10, plus a judo of matching spine and weight.
When hunting deer around home I carry 3 broad heads and 1 blunt in my 4 arrow bow quiver :archer:

Me Too. :archer2:
Me too! :archer2:
(4)Broadheads, (1)Small Game Thumper for stumping or small game...
5 broad heads and one hex head blunt for shootin at hedge balls. :archer2:
When I'm hunting deer and turkeys, I usually carry four arrows. When I'm hunting small game I carry a few more.
This thread reminds me of a day deer hunting about 30 years ago. I left the house in the morning with 8 arrows, and came home that night with a bad attitude and an empty quiver.
I shot a whole bunch of arrows at four different bucks that day and never cut a hair. I couldn't do anything right to save my life. I'd killed a few deer before that too. :dunno:
Bob
I carry 4 arrows, usually in a bow quiver that I take off the bow and hang in a tree.
I have 3 broad heads and one field point. When on an extended hunt (out of state) I still carry just 4 arrows but I will have 2-4 spare, ready to use, spare broad heads in my pack. I can retrieve an arrow and change out the broached if the arrow is still sound. I've never had to do this though.
For hunting: 3 - 4 broadheads and two blunts for practice shots out of my stand once I'm settled in.
For 3D shoots: I pack my back or side quiver full so that when I get off the course it still looks like I have a quiver full of arrows.
six bh and two Hammers in a side quiver made from an old eight arrow PSE bow quiver.
3 BH and 1 judo I use a 4 arrow kanati quiver
I always carry my great northern sidekick over my shoulder...and it holds 5 so I carry 5. Usually 3 broadheads and 2 field points.
I carry 6 broad heads and 3 bunny busters. in my custom side draw quiver.
too many
3 Zwickey Deltas and a Judo
4 arrows is all I can fit in my BigJim bow quiver.
Typically, three to four.
I have a 7-arrow bow quiver, so carry....
4 broadhead
1 blunt/stumper
1 flu-flu with a blunt
1 judo kondor for stumping in the thicker stuff.

I would rethink that logic, sir. Particularly when posting on a public forum. You can easily kill a bear with a blunt from internal bleeding. It has happened to cattle in the past. Move away from the feeders and you should have less encounters with the bears.
Deer and hog hunting: 3bh plus 1 small game head
Small game hunting: 4 small game heads and a spare broadhead or two in the pack
Never less than 5 broad heads. A booner buck survived because I ran out and learned my lesson, carrying only 3. Cell pics remind me always.

Oh come on. You can't just leave it at that. We need a story for this one.
3-4 broadheads, 1 field point for a practice shot.
4 broadheads and a blunt or judo.
2 backup total of 3
3 broadheads and one judo.
4 broadheads and one blunt
4 broadheads and 2 blunts and sometimes a fluflu piggybacked in my Selway 6 arrow quiver. I always get stump shots, sometimes get grouse shots, but am always hoping for that rare Elk shot opportunity.
4 broadheads - 1 judo
<><
<---------------<<<<<
4 braodheads - 1 judo in my Fred Bear bow quiver.
3 broadheads and an Ace blunt or Judo. That is fine for morning/evening hunts where I live for deer.
Suspect that would change depending on what I'm after and what part of country I'm in
Eric

4 broadheads for deer hunting.
