It's the first day of school so I dropped my son off This morning about 7am. I came home and went out in the back yard and shot "The First Shot of The Day".
I knew it was late but decided to go do a little stalk to see if any hogs were up feeding. I wasn't long in the woods when I heard one squeal. I slipped along in that direction and I was about a hundred yards farther when I heard one growl. They were bedded up about 30 yards. I slipped closer and could see the briars moving. I took a couple more steps and wasn't long one of them came out and gave me a shot at 15 yards. It took off with the other 5 running in two different directions. It was a short 25 yard blood trail to some fine eat'n!

Great job Cory! Did you get rain? Haven't seen that in a while. That Palmer is sweet and you are breaking it in right.
Too cool! I'm glad we don't have hogs here in Northern Missouri, but I think they'd be a ton'o'fun to hunt!

We have had some spotty afternoon showers here.
The water in the picture is flood waters from the river.
Thanks for the cudos folks
