The GLLI has been going for 31 years now. This year the MLA board has added a new feature that will make this event better, Campfire stories and this year it will be headlined and MC'd by none other Ron Laclair. GLLI starts Friday the 7th of Aug. and goes through Sunday. There are many great events planned throughout the weekend besides the great 3D courses, and of course Friday will be capped off with listening to Ron tell some stories which I know will be great, rumor is some other VIP from our Trad world may make an appearance. Also any one in the crowd can share a story as well. Also the MLA board has a special playing card raffle planed for the evening with Ron where you will have a 1 in 52 chance to win the item. Here is a link to the schedule for the weekend. See you all there. Programs starts at 8am Friday at the pavillion. http://www.michiganlongbow.org/glli/

It did that makes this year the 31st year for the event.
:help: Yep, David, the drinking water along the Wabash not very good!
But, if you have never been, it's a great time and atmosphere! And nothing better than Michigan in the summer, too!
David, first off the new event is the "Campfire Stories". There will be a P A available for anyone who has a story to tell and we encourage them to share it with us. I have some "stories" planned :readit:
Secondly I was told this was to take place at the Pavilion on Friday evening right after the tomahawk throwing. It should be a lot of fun and hopefully entertaining for all.
Me and my 11 year old son will be there. Leaving Western NY at 5:00 am for the drive, we are both very excited. The last time I was there it was held in Brighton about 20 years ago.
I have a suspicion that there might be two other Traditional Archery Icons participating also at the GLLI "Campfire Stories" also!!! This is an event that you will not want to miss! Grab a chair and come share the experience with us.
Can't wait! Looks like the weather is gonna be perfect.
:campfire:
Can't wait to get there Friday morning!!!! see you all then
