Title: Sapele Fox High Sierra and Custom Fox Order

Hey, Folks! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my All-Sapele Fox High Sierra (USPS tracking says it should be here at some point tmr.), and so I thought I'd post a topic to see if anyone else has come across an Sapele bows and what they thought of them (and of course please post pics if you have any). Also, feel free to post any pics of Fox bows in general - I've also got a place on Ron's custom build list coming up fairly soon, and I'd love to see examples of what people have ordered in the past!

Once I get the bow in my hands, I'll be sure to post some pics! I'm really excited!

I've got a gorgeous Silvertip 3 piece longbow with sapele veneers under clear glass. Quite a looker for sure. I find it to be a great shooter too.

Awesome! Thanks for the post! I've heard great things about Silvertips - came across them a lot in my research of top-shelf 3-pc t/d recurves. This is actually my first venture into takedown bows. I'm looking forward to it! Happy shooting, Pointer!

If you go to "the bowyers bench" and type Sapele into the search box you will get a few pictures. I have used Sapele in at least 3 bows myself..it can be pretty plain or really figured. In january this year I built a recurve for my "father in law"..I used Sapele for the riser and veneers.

I don't know much about Sapele, but I do know that Ron King makes one fine shooting High Sierra bow.

Fox was my first custom bow I bought it used and my girlfriend has one and they are one of my favorites Great shooters.     Widow

I met and shot with Ron a few months back. Great guy, I enjoyed his company.

Someone in our group buried an arrow in the duff and we were all hunting for it. I looked over and Ron was using his limb tip to dig for the arrow    :eek:  

I had to laugh...he showed me the name on his bow and it said"Beater"
