Hello!
Just about to take a trip with my Family. We are going to travel with multiple bows(youth and adult), arrows etc.
Any good solutions from traveling with a lot of tackle? Home Despot has a 35" case that would fit most of the takedowns and arrows....
Any advice or pics of your systems would be helpful!
Thanks
I have been doing quite a few out of state hunts and traveling with a lot of gear for the last few years and went through a few duffle bags that didn't hold up well.
I finally found a good canvas duffle that is built well enough to handle the rough treatment they get in the airports..... This one is worth every penny and comes in 36" or 48" lengths....

I use a variation of what Kirk suggested above. Mine has a "hard" case part on the bottom with a duffel bag on top. The hard case part will hold 2 takedawn bows in soft cases, my arrow box with 2dz arrows, and enough clothing items to cushion everything very well.

Bisch
PVC pipe cut to size with glue in screw caps. you can then drop them into any duffel bag you want and wont have to worry about how rough they get tossed around.
Use a setup really similar to the one that Bisch uses.

For my longbows i use a Plano expandable rod tube and it works great and i can fit 4.You could also use PVC and make it any dia. and length and it will be easier for the recurves and you can make arrow tubes also.
Take downs? Look at a hard side golf bag. Bows, arrows clothes and gear all protected

I like that
Badlands makes a large rolling duffel with hard bottom for packing bows and equipment underneath clothing. Easy to acquire on Amazon.
Go get an SKB Golf travel case (hard side) it will take a bow arrows and a bunch of cloths and gear can be stuffed in it. As long as it is not too long you can also use it to travel with a firearm. You can often find them cheap on Craigslist.
I have several hard cases measuring 32x14x4. I believe they are for shotguns, but hold two T/D's nicely. Got them from Cabelas and/or Gander Mtn. The arrows travel separate in plastic arrow boxes. Plano makes them and 3Rivers sells some also.
