Does anyone offer olive drab glass for limbs? I think it would make a great hunting color and have not seen it on any limbs.
Eric
Haven't seen it but it would look good. My favorite colored glass for a hunting bow is brown. I've thought before that a lighter brown, maybe tan glass would look good as well. Not yellow like you sometimes see, but more like the color of red elm. I have seen curly maple dyed a dark, almost OD green under clear glass before. Looked awesome with a dark walnut riser.
Someone recently had Dan Toelke build him a bow with green glass. Don't know if it would qualify as olive drab, but was definitely more muted than most of the other greens that have become popular lately on bows such as Great Northern, Northern Mist, Rose Oak...etc
Gordon glass came back out with some Green glass like the old 60's color green. It's not really an "Olive" color, but pretty its a pretty cool looking dark green......
Several suppliers are carrying it now.
Eric,
Check with Brian McBroom, McBroom Custom Bow, Co. He offers a green that not's as bright as most of the green bows you see now (Great Northern, Northern Mist, etc.)-not sure that it's olive.
My Northern Mist Green Glass blends perfectly

I just made a deal for a Brandon Stahl 3 piece takedown with green Gordon glass...I think that glass referred to a Bear Grayling green may be closer to the olive tone you are asking about...I have a 1961 Kodiak with that

The newer green glass I have purchased and I really like the color. Not as bright as Northern Mist. Closer to Grayling green in my opinion. Can not wait to get a bow made with it.
The new green Glass is available to everyone now. Pick your favorite bowyer and give them a call. We have done several with it now. Here is one of our Torrent Longbows we have done with the new Green Glass. We also have a Recurve on our website with it we will get pictures added of it later today

Man, I would love olive drab glass on a bow. How cool would it look on the old Bear Zebrawood bows.
Olive drab looks great. . especially with a few swipes of darker color, like brown or green across the limbs. A few cans of removeable camo spray paint works wonders.

Does anybody know if the green that OMC is selling a darker green or is it also olive colored? It appears darker by the sample pictures I have seen but I haven't order any green yet to see for sure.

It is darker than olive drab even though Gordons call it Olive drab. It looks like this.
