Post by: aim small...release on July 27, 2015, 05:58:00 PM
I may purchase one of these bows from a kind gentlemen. Can anyone tell me anything about these bows. If they were built well etc. I did read that the bowyer had passed away unfortunately. Thank you all in advance

solid as a rock, they shoot great not super fast but not slow just a good moderate R/D bow.  I will be surprised if you hear anything bad about the saxon American.

I had one years ago. Bout 60# if I remember right. I  liked shooting it. Only reason I parted with it was I got my Pete George LB.

The Saxon American longbow was my first.
I used it for years, I placed in a lot of shoots with that bow....

The Saxon American was also my first longbow. Not as fast as some but fast enough to get the job done. A good shooter which is a great place to start. Enjoy the ride.

A smooth pulling very stable shooting bow that's easy to control after the shot.
