In two just over two weeks I'll be headed to Wyoming for a private land bowhunt for antelope. I've been out there twice and killed two nice speedgoats both with a compound bow. This will be my first try on them with traditional equipment and man am I STOKED. From talking to the landowner I've found out that they've had some rain which means there is a fair amount of standing water which tends to spread the antelope out a bit...meaning it's harder to narrow down which water holes they'll use. It should be a fun and challenging hunt and I can't wait to get out there.
I'll be shoooting my Black Widow Short Ironwood which for those who don't know is a predecessor to todays PSR short recurve. Some of the hunting will be from windmills or platform stands over water holes and some of the hunting may be from pop up blinds or pit blinds near water holes. Spot and stalk is also a possibility but is very difficult as ya know.
Wish me luck!!!!!
Good luck, I think pronghorn is the most hunt to be on, except for maybe black bears.
Good luck. I got mine in Montana using a Black Widow recurve.
Travel safe and best of luck!
Good luck! Saving my loonies for a 2017 hunt. Been there twice and arrowed a fine buck in 2010.
Good luck... I will eagerly check in to see how you do as I am headed for my first ever Antelope hunt in less than a month.

As with most everything you must stay flexible and adapt to whatever situations require.
I took this buck from a windmill... very interesting hunt.

took this buck by stalking which is much more difficult but an absolute blast.
