With all the threads showing up on everyone's new Toelke Whips and Pikas, I decided it's about time I posted some pics of my new Whip as well. I decided to go with more of a black-out look with the phenolic riser and black glass on the limbs. Dan used a little cocobolo to accent the tips, thumb rest and front overlay. I think it looks sleek and stealthy. I've had it for about a month and a half now, guess I've just been having too much fun shooting the heck out of it to sit and down and show it off. It's a 2 piece, 64" and 50# @ 28. It zips a heavy arrow nicely and it is going to be my go-to bow for my Colorado pack-in elk hunt this September. I've always been a recurve guy, but the Whip and I have become solid partners. When I do my part it does its thing.

Very very nice!
That baby is slick looking!
I have a new whip coming monday or tuesday. I went with macassar ebony and myrtle. I cannot wait!!!
I absolutely love my 64"er
Thats Baaaaaad to the Booooone.
Looks great!
I definitely like the look, Dan makes a awesome bow..just traded for a Chinook and love it, quietest recurve Ive ever shot except for maybe a Mahaska..
Gotta love a Whip. Superb bows in every respect.
Thanks guys, as I look at the pics I posted, I started wondering how cool it would be if Dan could stain/paint the edge of the bamboo limb laminations black. Total black-out.
Great looking Bow,
Looks Great. Good luck on your Elk Hunt
They are just great shooting bows...gotta love em.
God bless,
Looks great!!

Looks great!
Looks great!
Very nice. Dan and Jared are top shelf for sure.
Very nice, I'm starting to really like dark bows.
Nice bow! What grip material is that?
Stunning bow,simple but beautiful!
The rubber grip is called a Shur-grip. I picked it up from 3 Rivers. I really like it, especially with these hot summer days. They also have one with stippled bumps on it.
I've heard of guys doing basically the same thing with a bicycle inner tube as well.
I too am becoming more enamored of the darker bows, phenolic in particular. Thank goodness he's not going to be at ETAR this week. Would probably come home with one if he was.
I really like how quiet it is. Put a 10-Ring Fury string with Allen's cat whisker balls on it, and it is super quiet. Dan sends two real nice endless loops strings with the bow, but I have really gotten hooked on Allen's strings.
That's a sweet lookin' bow for sure. I like it.
Good luck on your hunt.
Bob
As long as we're showing off Whips, here's mine. I won this thru a PBS raffle and it is now my go to bow. The riser is phenolic due to the bow bolt, but I like some osage medicine in my bows so Dan used that for the riser lams. Limb veneers are myrtle.
