Would like your opinions on the Toelke SS 2 piece or Toelke Lynx with longbow limbs. I shoot my bow with no cant, mostly vertical. I have a 31 draw length. I had the Whip Hs which i loved. I could not shoot it vertical. I tried canting and just did not feel right. I think the Lynx recurve limbs would be to short with my 31 draw length. That's why i was looking a at the Lynx longbow limbs 64". If you had the option which one would you choose.
With your DL my vote is the 2pc SS. If you did the Lynx I'd rather go 66" with the LB limbs at your DL. The SS will be super smooth and have more oomph vs the Lynx with not hardly any added noise. The 2pc version will have enough mass to be very stable. For your shooting style I think the SS would make more sense.
I have 2 whips and am a longbow man at heart but that SS is peaking my interest. I may have to order one at some point to see what the static tip hype is about! If I were you, I would go longbow...but I am biased!
Thank's for your reply. I'am going to place an order today. Thank's Again !
First off I just got a set of 60" recurve limbs and I think they would be fine at your draw length, they're that good. If you didn't like the Whip vertical I don't think you'll like the SS. Agree with above, I think the 66" longbow limbs on the Lynx riser would make you the most happy. There were a couple SS in the classifieds that might scratch that itch if you want to try one.
I shoot the Super D and the SS (one piece) and have a 30"inch draw. I shoot both vertical. The SS is one phenomenal bow. I believe the 2 piece would be perfect for a little more riser weight and balance. For me, the grip on the SS is perfect, and the way the limbs feel as you reach full draw...they just get smoother. I'm a big fan of the Toelkes...you can't go wrong either way.
Bill-
Thank's for all your help. I think i narrowed it down to the Toelke SS recurve 2 piece. Now i need to think about a wood combination. Any suggestion would be helpful !
Micarta will be in the riser. Maybe add some macassar ebony or east indian rosewood. Figured myrtle for the limbs
(http://i.imgur.com/LxtbW71.jpg?1) Well i finally pulled the trigger. Just got off the phone with Dan. I ordered Toelke SS Recurve 64" 45@31 Draw. Riser has Micarta with Mora, Dan said he has some real nice Figured Fiddleback Myrtle for the limbs. He sent me a picture of the wood he just cut. He said keep in mind it's real dry here. After the limbs are done it should be 30-40 % darker.
I shoot a 52 inch Kodiak Magnum quite nicely at 30 inches...all depends on how willing you are to adapt
DDave
That will be nice
I'm a Lynx guy! Good luck, my buddies shoot either the Whip or the Pika....all great shooters.

Nice looking bow Tim .
I would go with the Lynx only because you can go from longbow to recurve with just the purchase of a new set of limbs. I'm sure either one will be great but if you are looking at all options, I think the Lynx would offer more flexibility.
Best of luck.
