Well my brother Danny did it to me again. I just could not stand him having a new bow, so since I sold two ( Snag I sure hope your check gets here shortly. LOL) I was looking on the Morrison site and fell in love with this beauty.

I called Bob and it was still available. What was I to do. I had to order it.
Dakota "F" limbs, "A" riser w/ medium grip. Bacote with center Osage riser. Boo limbs with Bacote veineers. Makes a 64" bow 54# @ 28".
Now I got a Cheyene and a Shawnee, Blacktail Special Edition, Cri-Bow Silver Fox, Dryad Buswhacker, Acaidian Woods Tree Stick, and a Shrew. Back to seven. Oh Well thinning the herd did not work too well.
You may be sick but at least you have great taste. :) She's a beauty!! I just love the osage/bacote combo in the riser. Sweeeeeet.
Bill
Donald, very nice looking longbow. and not a bad sounding 'herd' you got there!! :)
If I were ever to change bows, a Morrison would head my list. Beautiful bow.
Thanks Joe and Bill she is a beaut. Can't wait till she gets here. Couple of days Bob said.
Danny, I'll have mine before you. :bigsmyl:
Very Pretty. You sure do have an outstanding collection of bows. HMMMMMMMM you couldn't post some pictures of that Tree Stick would you!!??
Hummm I'm thinking something runs in the family. :D
Sweet looker even if it is backwards. :jumper:
SPEECHLESS <><
Man that looks good!
Very nice, I love osage bows.
You guys are killing me.Thats tie with a coco riser for the nicest Morrison Ive ever seen.Congrats!!!!!
Just could not stand it huh? You are a sick man,LOL. Gail is gonna kill ya for sure,LOL. I actually was looking at that bow and thinking you would love it but did not tell you about it cause I did not want to tempt you and what do ya do, you visit the site see it and buy it. You need serious counseling. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Danny
Dibs! LOL
OSAGE,,MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!
You know, jealousy is an ugly emotion
I am sitting here being real ugly right now.
Ths brotherly competition is getting out of hand :saywhat:
Damnit Donald, put out your hand! I'm gonna perform the same technique I described to Danny! Cut that sucker off at the wrist and we'll solve this addiction you guys have.........and then I'm gonna take both your Morrisons! :goldtooth:
Thanks guys. I can hardly wait to see her in person.
Danny, if you would of just not posted about yours I would not have visited Bob's site and my pocket would not be so lite right now. See, it is your fault. LOL
Dave you already got one from me. LOL This one is staying here.
Micky, I understand and yes we have to stop this. It causes too much envy and lusting. LOL. I love it.
Herk, Thanks she is a beaut. I love osage, and I think the bacote really sets it off.
Curtis,
I'll bring her in Dec to the hunt. I'll even let you shoot her.
Donald
You know, for me, all this started with one bow transaction. I send you money for a Blacktail. Then I see Danny is getting this awesome Morrison. So, against my better judgement, I visit Morrison's site....oh, my! I start talking with Danny and then I see your post...another beautiful "in stock" Morrison...my next question is...how can I afford to...or afford not..... to...order a Morrison???? Yes, my name is David and I am bowoholic. Love these beautiful bows! That check should be there by now!
LOL David, I know what you mean. My wife keeps threatning to cut off the internet on me. I am sure your check will be here any day. Takes a few more days from where you are.
Donald
Man you are gonna love that bow!
I have the reverse combination Osage on the outside with a Bocote flair in the center.
Tater
Oh sure, and then Tater has to pile it on! I am a dead man for sure!
I never thought a bow could have sex appeal but that picture is EROTIC. It may be sick but I love it.
Sorry Snag!
But if you go to Bob's web site and field photos then clik on submissions you can see what that Osage is gonna look like after it has mellowed a bit.
( I just couldn't help myself)
Tater
I got an osage and bacote ACS CX and It sure doesn't look that good...WOW...
That is a beauty for sure. My length and weight also.
Sure glad you seen it before I did.
John
Hey Donald,
What's the specs. on the Acadian Woods Tree Stick??? :D Just in case you decide to thin the herd again and if it makes the list..... :D ;)
Mike :campfire:
Oh-oh,that smells like sibling rivalry there. :knothead: :knothead: :knothead: You two are making us drool over your bows.I wonder where you two got your taste, its killing me with envy.
Gil
Mike the Acaidian is 64" amo 53# @ 28" Cocobola footed with bacote riser and boo limbs with curly maple veineers and cocobola splices and antler tips.
All I can say is both Danny and Donald's bows are terrific looking and they should be banned from this sight for causing so many of us to envy, drool, and covet :biglaugh: .
On second thought, they make some of us happy when we are the recipient of their cast offs. I, too, keep hoping to get some crumbs that from their table fall, but Danny's are to heavy. Donalds are closer but still just a tad strong.
I always thought it would be great to be able to own one of each, but with so many bowyers I didn't think it possible. Heck, you guys may make it so I'm gonna keep tuning in.
Have fun! Louis
Lets see(in the rack and on order), Schafer Silvertip,Dryad Bushwacker,Blacktail Elite VL,Morrison Cheyene,Bow River Summitt(being paid for),Super Shrew Samurai on order.
Have owned, Adcock pre ACS(2),one of the very first Adcock ACS,A&H ACS CX TD, Adcock ACS TD,Adcock ACS CX TD,Adcock ACS Hill style,Foley TD,Border BD Ultra CX,Cari-bow Featherhorn(2),Cari-bow Taiga,Cari-bow Silver Fox(2),Acadian Cajun Hunter,Morrison Cougar,Lofton Choctaw,Howad Hill Wesley Special,Jack Harrison HHS,Elk Ridge Pilgrim Two,Elk Ridge Pilgrim,Lotz Huntin stick,Leon Stewart longbow,JD Berry longbow,Robertson Vision Falcon(3),couple of different self bows and maybe a few I cannot remember.
LOL, that hurt trying to remember all that. I think I am done now. A few of those bows would still be with me If I could still shoot 70/80# bows.
See Louis it can be done but I just cannot hang on to all of them,LOL.
Danny
I would have thought there was a lot more than that Danny. :biglaugh:
You two are ate up with it badly.... Man.
Danny, you didn't mention a footed Blacktail with cocobolo and ebony. It was a beauty.
I'm glad you two guys have such a big dose of this sickness. Whenever my wife gets after me I can point to you guys as proof that I'm a mere lightweight. :jumper:
Danny, Donald..............either of you need an adopted son? :D
Robtattoo---You beat me to the punch.I was thinking the same thing.Maybe they each need a new son.----Bone
Rob, Bone, I have one son, 5 daughters & 15 grandkids. What would it hurt to have two more.LOL
Might be a fight over the bows and all I leave behind though. :biglaugh:
Danny I am not going to hurt myself trying to remember what I have had and let go. I might cry when I saw the list. Have had and shot some fine ones. A couple I wish I never parted with. First Blackfeather I had, first Treestick with three sets of limbs, Original Brakenberry Old Timer, just to name a few. Sigh, can not keep them all I guess. Just love trading and trying.
You guys do know that diseases aren't supposed to be competitive, don't you? But then again diseases aren't supposed to be so much fun either......
A friend and I were looking at that very bow the other day Donny, he didn't go after it because he doesn't like the looks of oasge!!! I hit him upside the head and left him.....
Beautiful bow you've got coming for sure!
David
Donald,
You and Danny need to jump in on the guy's post "So many bows, so little time!!" and give him some pointers. He is a rank amature and could possibly use some advise from the pro's :notworthy:
Louis
I look at this way. If my wife says anything about my bows I can just deflect it toward the list of your bows! I'm looking pretty tame at that point. Thanks for lifting the bar a little higher...it may work...oh, who am I kidding.
Ya'll are all welcome to use me when justfying a new bow with the wife. She will be glad you do not have it as bad as me. My wonderful wife has threatened to keep any new bows if they come when I am at work. GASP!!! my new Morrison will be here Friday or Sat and I do not get home till the 23rd. I may have to sneak away for a couple of hours to snag it before she does.
Wait I,ll just tell her it is one Danny ordered and she will just charge him rent. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
It's not any of our faults. I think if you were given a first name that begins with a D you just don't have a choice. Yeah that's it!
Hey Dave you may have nailed it!!! That's what I'll tell the wife. LOL
See Donny there lies your troubles. I just don't tell my wife. I have a separate account just for my bow dealing and so long as I leave the checking account alone, no questions are asked. ;)
Hey Rawhide I'm still waiting to see pics of that Tree Stick .I'll bet you are too!
Somebuddy has to keep these bowyers in business!!
Buying bows has gotta be near a full time job for you guys.
Nice choices guys, hard to beat Bob's bows for looks and performance. Nothing but Morrison's in my house.
Bentpole,
Sorry, I am at work till the 23rd, so no pics till I get home. I'll send some to ya.
Well Thank you very much Don. No rush that bow sounds real pretty too.
David has it right, I have my own bow account besides the checking acct and my wife has her account. I give her $500 each payday to do with as she wants and I do not tell her about my bows, just sneak them in the house. She sees me packing or un packing one and she just shakes her head. Good thing she is not into archery or hunting or I would be in trouble,LOL.
Danny
Now no phone calls or nasty e-mails from significant others because we are giving lessons on how to acquire bows on the sly! :goldtooth:
Don, not being mean when I say this, because I too was addicted to bows. Take the one you shoot best and the one you shoot second best and get rid of all the rest and go on a nice hunt or something. One back-up is all ya need. Shawn
Shawn,
The seven I have now are it, They all have special meaning, and will find it hard to get rid of them. Besides I intend to take game with all of them this year. Hopefully I can name them also, that would be neat.
BTW guys, it just came to me to name this bow "Yellow Jacket" What do ya think?
If she does well for you, I'd name her "Killer Queen" looks like a bee and the Queen song comes to mind.
I like it Donald. That bow packs a mighty sting!
Danny,
The one in the package was just out for repair or refinishing, thats why it looks so new right!
Whatever works, alot of use would be sleeping with our bows if our better halfs figured out what these sticks cost. They say being at one with your bow makes you a better shot! I'm not sure I want to be that good of a shot though. Have fun with your new Morrison, you can't buy a better bow from a better guy in my opinion.
I agree hunt it, Bob is super to deal with and master at his craft. But I also feel that way about my Blacktail, Shrew, Cari-Bow,Dryad, and Acaidian. I shoot them all purty good and can not say I shoot one better than the other unless it is the Blacktail, but the Morrisons are very close as are the others. I practice with them all nearly every week. Can not wait to get home a get to the woods for opening of Deer season on the 2nd of November. Will hunt during the week to get away from the gun hunters. I was unable to go in October for archery only because of work. I do not get home till the 23rd.
I can not believe how many on here who own Morrisons have a first name that starts with a "D". Is that weird or what.
This bow should only be shot on Sunday!! Great colors. I don't have a Morrison but my name starts with a " D " and I did stay at a Howard Johnson once. :bigsmyl:
