Title: Toelke Lynx setup
Post by: Biathlonman on July 05, 2015, 09:52:00 PM
How do you run your Lynx?  Longbow or recurve?  What are your specs? Arrows?  Pictures would be great.  I've owned a couple but I've got another one heading this way.  I'm excited to try out the new 60" recurve limbs, only tried the 58" and the 64" longbow before now.

Congrats on the new bow.
I have a 58" recurve. My most consistent, easiest (for me) to shoot bow that I've owned to date. Have had it for probably 4 or 5 years now.
It's 51# @ 28", which is what I draw. I shoot MFX Classic 500's, cut to 29". 100 grain inserts and 165 grain points. Perfect flight for me.

Enjoy the new toy!    :archer2:

LH Lynx longbow, 62", 57#'s @ 28", phenolic and black mamba riser. Absolutely a pleasure to shoot.
Dead silent with small acrylic wool silencers, no hand shock, as accurate as I can be, shot after shot, very quick. Loves Gold Tip 55/75, 29 3/4", 200 gr points. Or any 400 Easton Axis Shafts.
Word of advice....use Dan's endless strings.

Got the recurve limbs, but never use them, I like the longbow so much.

Lynx recurve 60" 58# @31" : 32" GT VELOCITY 340 : 50 gr brass insert 300 point
Lynx longbow 66" 59# @31" 32" GT Hunter  400 : alum insert + 300 gr point
I switched to an SBD bowstring and change shelf and strike plate material for thin beaver skin.

Hey brad.   I was shooting gt. heavy hunters  with 125/. 145  up front.  And they were flying great and hitting hard.  Woods  were 55/60. With 145  . I think the bow will shoot anything . !  Good luck with her.

I had a combo Dan sent me when he introduced the bow. I shot it for a couple of months and some 3d shoots and the Lynx was similar to my Whips. I am not much of a recurve fan but I loved the 60" Lynx and I remember was that it took a heavier spined arrow than I would have thought.

Braincramp, (they seem to be coming more often)the above post should have said the 64" longbow limbs were similar to my Whips.

Mine just arrived in the mail.  60" recurve, 50@28.  Man I can't believe how smooth the 60" recurve limbs are.  Kind of wishing they were #55 now!  Can't wait for the rain to stop to give it a workout.

Riser appears to be all phenolic with some sort of ebony accents.  Limbs a fairly plain Myrtle.  A second hand bow but one I'm glad to have found.  Gonna have to try to track down some #55 limbs, these things are so smooth!  Even at #50 it's smoking a 600+ grain arrow.

I really like the grip on the Lynx.  I'd prefer it to be super pretty wood, but hard to be micarta for function.
