My 19 year old daughter wants to start shooting with me , target, maybe some stumping. So I'm scanning the usual places for a used lightweight bow but I don't have any decent quality light target arrows. I remember the women in my archery club back in the 70's shot aluminum shafts that looked like knitting needles and #2 and 3 MicroFlite fiberglass shafts ,both with tiny conical target tips, maybe 60gr. Any suggestions..I'm looking at bows in the range of 25-30 @24.5".

I just bought some GT Trad 600 blem's from Big Jim that work great for quick, lightweight 3D arrows. $52/dozen, not too shabby price wise either.

Easton Jazz aluminum shafts in 1616 should work pretty good.

Easton Jazz Superlight 1214s fit your description.
I made up some arrows for my granddaughter's little MadDog bow. Her bow is rated at 22# @ 24", so to make sure some adult doesn't over-draw the bow, I cut the arrows to 24". If I anchor with the heel of my hand on the point of my chin, I can shoot groups as tight at 7 yards as I can from my big bows.
With 3 2" feathers and the 60 or so grain points that came with them, these things are surprisingly fast. She is probably only drawing about 16 - 18 #, but loves shooting it and both bow and arrows will grow with her for a couple more years.

Thanks! Easton Jazz looks like exactly what I'm looking for. In the past she has been quickly discouraged by too-heavy, too long arrows arcing toward the target and sometimes bouncing off while my arrows zipped and popped when they hit the bale.

Get ahold of rmsgear.com, they carry some really light carbons just like your looking for! They are kind of like the aluminums but made of carbon, work very well for what you want
-
I shoot with a lady that has the same requirements. She is using 700 spine carbons from her 25# ILF bow.

gold tip 15/35's. cheap, and indestructible out of a light bow.

Cx 800s will be her best option. Light, strong, and reasonable.

If you are looking at carbon, give the Easton Apollo's a look. Spines up to 1200. My son is shooting 900's with 70gr up front, out of a 21# maddog pup longbow and they shoot great.

Contact BigJim I bet he can get setup.

Gold Tip Ultralight Entradas are good for your purpose.

Got 6 Easton Jazz 1516 with 3" fletching , cut to 26" with 60 gr, target nibs. I ended up finding a 1968 Kodiak Hunter, 35# in fantastic condition. When my daughter tried her first shot and hit just high of the center ring, with that little arrow zipping along, she had the biggest grin!
