Title: Bob Lee
Post by: savage1 on June 23, 2015, 11:27:00 PM
Hard to believe but for all the bows I ever had, I never owned or shot a Bob Lee recurve.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
It was a 62 inch 50 pound bow.
Wow. It practically shot itself.

Any Bob lee guys out there got pictures
Or comments.
I may have to get one of these..

Always loved the grip on the Bob Lee recurve bows. Good people who are always willing to help. Buy with confidence.   :campfire:

For those who have shot both: compare and contrast a Bob Lee to a BW PSA if you would. I've never shot a Bob Lee either however they look interesting.

Bob Lees are awesome.  You are right, SO easy to tune and shoot.  I have owned 3 of them and have regretted selling each one.  I am sure I will own another.  In the top five recurves I have ever shot for sure.

Im interested in one around #50 62" with the 19 inch riser.
Those are the spes of the one I had the pleasure to shoot.
Funds are a little low now but maybe there a used one out there with my name on it.
Pms welcome.
There was a camo one on the website that fit the description for $725?? I was thinking hard how to do it but it got sold.
Just out of reach for today..

They are great bows. I had one for many years. Last year I sold it to a buddy of mine that I shoot a lot of 3D with. This year he is solidly kicking my butt with it, and it still says "Custom Built for Bisch" on it!!!!

My wife and I got our first Bob Lee recurves in 1997.  We now own 2 each. We'll go to gatherings and look at different bows, and get caught up in how good they look, then we both agree that we would still hunt with our BL bows over anything else.  We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lee, and their son Rob.  Wonderful folks.  We also have a great friend who has won multiple state championships here in the South with her Bob Lee Signature recurve.  If I were buying a new bow, it would definitly come from Bob Lee.

Thats funny Bisch.
In trying different bows I shot many bows with "specially made for xxxx". Each one of those guys thought that was the one.
I think it takes years and trial to find the one you like best and others like it.
I know for myself I feel short changed not having aquired a Bob Lee years ago even if it said Bisch on it. Lol

I see they don't make one-piece bows anymore. What lengths were they available in?

Kip, I like what you did to the riser. Many take-downs have too much wood in this area.
