Yeah, it may be a bit early to start singing Christmas songs, but I am already set for the big holiday. At the Howard Hill shoot, I placed an order with Steve Turay for another Shelton. It will be 68" long at @53# at 28" draw length. The back will be light brown matte finish. The core will be yew with a clear belly. The grip will be Brazilian Rosewood. Steve says delivery will be in December. Looking forward to it big time!
Cool, I ordered a Whisper at Baltimore......I hate waiting...lol!
Now the wait............
Congrats on your new stick!

Yes, the wait is long, but at least I already have one Shelton to use until the new stick gets here. Besides, the long wait will give me a while to make up a plausible justification for a new bow when my wife sees it.
I spent an hour with Steve Turay at his shop last January. I was thinking about a Whisper but loved the Shelton. Thus I have a green glass red elm lamination Brazilian rosewood 66" Shelton coming soon. The good news is the Mrs. And the kids were with me. How could she say no to Steve while in the midst of me taking them on a family ski getaway? ;)
I just talked with Steve and we're looking at an end of the month delivery at an upcoming shoot.
Enjoy the wait it will be here before you know it.
P.S. I was surprised when I got Steve Turays john Schulz 100 pound longbow to full draw. Of course he shoots it like a toy.
sorry for the double post
Ought to be sweet Sam.
Ahh the wait on a new bow, sweet torture for sure, congrats on what sounds like a fine bow.
