After the Auction

OK guys and gals here's what is gonna happen. At the deadline we will lock down all the threads then we'll go thru and list the winners with totals. Please be patient.

You will need to pay via paypal, check or M/O, written to St Jude Children's Research Hospital As we receive payments we'll post on the thread, "payment received" and that it's OK to ship items. The winner and donor will need to be in contact with each other to make sure everything happens the way it's supposed to. You can click on each other's handle and either email or PM from the Profile screen.

Paying for your treasures -

Please note If payment is not received within a couple weeks, unless ya got a pretty good excuse the next highest bidder will have the option of paying for the item. I don't want to hurt the Kid's total $ but stringing the payments out over a month or two really disrupts things.

There's a couple ways to settle up after the auction and I'd really appreciate being done within a couple weeks. Please include you real name, TG handle, LINK TO THREAD(S)and all Auction info with correspondence.

Or you can pay via Paypal.com Click on the link and log in or register then click on "Send Money" enter PayPal@stjude.org in the "pay to" space, be sure to reference "Trad Gang St Jude Auction" then just follow the instructions. When making you payment you can choose goods,services under purchase and under personal if you select gift you don't have to pay the 3%.

Please give us all the info from your particular auction, reference Trad Gang ST Jude Auction, item, donor, both your name and TG handle . With a few hundred items it gets real confusing for this ol country boy.

The two winners of my bows just emailed me a copy of their PPal payment confirmation. They are excited to get their new bows !

I told each of them the mods get swamped and it may take a day or two to get things marked paid so thats how we solved that issue. Bows are in the mail. One to PA and one to IN ....

But I would not send items until you had satisfactory confirmation of some sort.

With the new format on Paypal, I am not sure if I did it right.

Hopefully the guys working the auction will see it when they finally start to catch up editing the ads as sold.

Will the mods be notified by PayPal of payments or do we need to send some sort of reference number to the mods?

I'll be sending out a postal money order to Walt tomorrow (Monday). (Edit: Actually went out on Wednesday.)

My first two purchases from the auction. Hope to be more involved next year by donating some items.

I am in the same boat with paypal. The new format got me wondering if I did it right.

I just made my payment via PayPal also, with a little help from Mr. Lyon.   :thumbsup:

Walt and Doug will post notification as the receive payments  (Walt checks and Doug PayPal ) . There is plenty of room in the PayPal comment section to list all the details requested  above. I cut and paste topic heading in my PayPal comments so it's easy to track what's being paid for.

Paid via PayPal last night.

Gabe - PayPal has a link "button" that says "classic" that is more comfortable if you want to use the old format.

Ray is right - you have space to write information to make it easy for everybody and you get a detailed receipt for your own records.

I figured out the new paypal format...but in doing all that I forgot to list what I was purchasing and my tradgang handle   :banghead:

I sent a money order today, couldn't figure out the paypal deal so it went in the mail this morning (6/8/15) so Walt should see it in a couple of days. Thanks for all the work you guys do on behalf of the St. Jude's kids.

I used PayPal to pay for my DVD's last night - a little different this year but PayPal/St.Jude/TradGang have always seemed to have a good working solution to our payments for our St. Jude Auction (and everything else I've used them for, come to think of it), so I think all will go well. I clicked on "clasic" but couldn't see that it took me to "the old way" so I went back to the current way. My only objection was, I never saw a way to click to change/select my desired way of payment for this transaction - so it went through as charging my bank account - but that's not a big thing on this transaction. It's all good - FOR THE KIDS!   :archer:

Yes Bernie, the format was different then the instructions given! The choice for gift payment was not an option.

Anyway, my payment was made with my wife's account!   :bigsmyl:

I kind of mucked up the PayPal memo, but I send a heads-up to the mods and they were still able to sort out my payment quickly.  I only regret I might have made extra work/confusion for them.  They deserve a lot of thanks for making the auction run.

Got my PayPal payment sent in!  Thanks to those running the show!  It's a lot of work for a great cause!

All but one item has shipped. Once it's cleared it'll be on it's way as well.

I paid via PayPal a week ago, only to find out I sent payment to paypal@ stjudeS!!!!!  I put an "s" in there!!!!  I fixed it tonight.

Some donors have had some issues with family emergencies...so don't panic if you haven't heard from someone.

I knew people some time back who had "issues" with PayPal and it took a year to resolve...I get a USPS MOrder and send them...

Since checks are held, it can go a while till all payments are in to send in one lump group, so the MO helps keep my check register clean without open slots for a few cycles.  Only $1.25 for most denominations (at least what I can afford)  :)

It is probably easiest to PM Doug or my self when needed.  We get alerts/notifications whenever anybody sends us a PM.

This year the auction transactions have gone very smoothly for me.  My last 2 packages ship tomorrow.

A BIG thanks to the volunteers who plan, execute, and make the auction possible for all of us Trad Gangers!

I completely missed that I won something until Danny Rown just contacted me.  PayPal sent, sorry for the delay. I really need to figure out a better plan when I'm bidding on 20 different things.

That's funny I do the same thing. I've never had it happen yet,but have come close. I'm sure everybody understands.

I sent a money order over a week ago. Haven't heard anything yet about my item being updated. Sent 2 pm's but, no reply...
