Need to screw it into a carbon, but I can use an adapter or a one piece...What do you prefer?
VPA 3-Blade 250 Grain Screw-in 1-1/4" Cutting Diameter
^^^ I'm sharpening that exsct head now for my bear hunt next week. I love them.
Have only hunted with a 250 gn 3 blade broadhead that happened to be VPA Terminator.
Results on both Stag and Hog have instilled lethal confidence.
Note: There was 100 gn brass insert installed within the shaft.
VPA 3 blade
Another vote for VPA 3 blade.
VPA 3 blade.... Looks like a popular choice.
Jeff, although I haven't killed anything with them yet, I also love shooting the VPA's. I just won some Tusker 250's in the St. Jude auction. After I receive them, you can try a couple of each to shoot and see which you like better.
VPA 2 Blade
VPA 3-Blade, or ABOWYER Carbon Brown Bear single bevel 2-blade.
Snuffer 145 or 160 with appropriate insert for 250+-
Cutthroat just finished a 250gr I think

Abowyers all day never had one come to me that was not hair poping razor sharp. Why other company's don't do what they do is beyond me. Tuff and just awesome the deer I shot last year with one never knew it was shot
Cutthroat 250gr screw-in (available in 4 weeks).

I'm glad you started a thread on this. I need to get some, too. The pricing on some of those is ridiculous. $60 for 3 broadheads? C'mon Man! Based on the replies I like the sound of the VPA. Just have to decide 2 vs 3 blade.

Another vote for the vpa 3 blade. I use the 150-175's and love them easy to sharpen and really do leave great blood trails
