Just bought a new to me Tall Tines recurve. It does not have side quiver inserts. What quiver have you all been using and found to work well with them? Also, not sure what string material is that comes with these bows? Has anyone noticed much gain in quietness or speed switching to a different type material? Thanks Steve
I use a GN strap on one and a Quick Detatch on the other. Both work well. I just use the stock string. Josh Sowerby makes ghem for Brian. He goes by "Oliverstacy" on here.
I have a Thunderhorn Lynx strap on quiver, and also an Absorkee side quiver depending on the situation.
Oliverstacy's strings have performed best for me. Tried a different string and couldn't get it to tune.
Going to have to get in touch with Josh to get another
I like the Thunderhorn small fry limb bolt quivers. I believe Josh makes his strings out of D-10.
I have Great Northern KickBack Extremes with long hoods on all of my TallTines. Some strap on, some limb bolt. Love the Great Northern, light, quiet, compact. Perfect feather spacing. They've been refined to just about perfection after all these years.
I put a slide-on selway on my TT recurve. Slides all the way down to the riser and gives it a little more mass weight as it is pretty light (myrtlewood). Still using the stock string but it is pretty quiet even with 3-under.
I have the Thunderhorn small fry limb bolt on mine and it looks great. Brian uses D 10 by Oliverstacy, and are well made strings.
Limb bolt Thunderhorn worked well ....
Great Northern Quick Mounts with 8 strand SBD strings.
I use a SBD string on my tall tines and a Limb Bolt quiver. I really like the selway quivers.

I have a brown rubber Selway slide on if you'd like to try it. I'll send it to you. Guru uses a slide on Selway with his Kwik-Stick T/Ds & he's never changed... Must work pretty good!!!
I use a Thunderhorn Lynx with the small fry hood. Works great. I've just always used the stock strings from Brian. I might add mine likes heavy arrows.
Agree with the above post, I'm shooting 625-640 grains
Thanks,for all the responses! !
Post some pictures of that beauty! I use a select slide on and have for years, I'll have to try the great northern sometime.
Kanati Slim Jim strap on, works best of all I have tried- Thunderhorn, Selway and great Northern
I prefer Great Northern kickback strap on as well
I use both a Great Northern kickback adjustable strap on and a Selway Slip On.
Both work great. I probably slightly prefer the Selway only because I like the arrow configuration better (easier to get to my 4th and 5th arrow) and because it's two pieces I can cram it in my pack when my bow is apart and I'm packing in, with the GN I have to strap it to the outside of my pack.
