Anybody heard from some of our friends in Texas?
Flooding has really done some damage in the area.
We are still Here!! Glug Glug... :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
It's raining/ storming hard here but all is well.
Thanks for checking. :campfire:
We are still here but are developing a good case of skin rust. Can't wait for this to quit. I left Washington state to get away from the rain.
LOL

Still here. Concrete Business has sucked for a couple months now. Wondering if it is ever gonna quit. Thinking maybe a boat business?
Still floating here. Got more coming though :banghead:
It has rained almost every day here in San Antonio.
I think Wimberley almost got wiped off the map though, and Houston is pretty bad also.
It got hairy here on Monday! It was storming so bad that my wife actually went and got in the hall closet! :scared: :scared: :scared:
My clan is all good, but there are a lot of folks who lost a great deal, and could use all the prayers we can muster.
Bisch
On Monday we got 7 inches of rain in just a few hours...much flooding in our back pastures, but nothing like the Wimberley area where a few hundred homes were destroyed.
There is nothing as powerful as moving water.

I was thinking the same thing. Glad to hear things are as good as they are.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you folks, and to the others there that aren't as fortunate.
From what I've seen on TV it looks terrible, and I'm sure It's ten times worse in person.
Hang in there, folks.
Bob
I am trying to round up my last bee yards and get em shipped back home to ND. It is challenging absolutely terrified to drive off road never know when your going to sink . Then tornadoes Knock pines down on top of everything. A lot of folks got it worse , its been a bad year in east Texas..But its still better than a drought..
Praying all of you - let us know any way we can do to help. We have been through enough hurricanes - know what its like to deal with clean up - being displaced is hard on a lot of people.

We got it again last night! So far we have been lucky,no damage to speak of.I live about 15 miles north of Waco,Texas.
Some area's have really been hit hard with storms and flooding.

Just got a new job in Midalnd ,TX . Start next month and looking forward to it. I pray for all you experiencing flooding and wish you good weather!
Thanks for the concern neighbor, had a nice little river in my front yard, but we are ok.
I live "on a hill" so no major issues here other than my yard may be a foot tall before it ever drys out enough to mow. Some haven't been so fortunate and I know a lot of lake based businesses in the area (Lake Texoma) are really taking a hit. All that said, it's coming down yet again as I type this, beginning to wonder if it's ever gonna stop. Will say I'm enjoying the lower temps it has brought with it though.
Appreciate the thread. Monday was a doozy as Bisch posted. Rainfall was at the measured rate of 7.5" per hour. We had two twisters touch down within a mile. Wiped out about 6 acres of several hundred year old Live Oaks along the Lampasas River. From what I saw, two homes severely damaged, one barn exploded/levelled, and one double wide fileted. Lots of other trees uprooted, etc.
Our prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones, are dealing with property loss, or missing relatives and pets. The flooding around the state has been horrendous.
Lots of trees down here. Mostly due to the saturated ground where the roots can't hold. There is a mile stretch of Fm 664 near Waxahachie where all the power poles are laying over on the muddy ground.
It's been bad but I think the drought is worse. I am glad to see lakes filling and green grass. Prayers to all that have lost house and home.
I'm ready for this to be done for a while. I'm getting tired of driving 10 minutes to find a working toilet. I've had a lake surrounding my house since the rain began. My septic tanks are overflowing I can't even take a real shower, I've been doing sponge baths in the sink!
Worse part is I haven't been able to take my bow out and shoot at all. The yard is to wet I sink in. I'm not that good yet so I need all the practice I can get. I fear I'm going to lose what little skill I have.
