Title: I Almost Got Grounded
Post by: Whitetail Addict on May 15, 2015, 01:37:00 PM
My girlfriend told me last night, as I was making sure my turkey hunting gear was in order for this morning, that I'm spending so much time here, that nothing is getting done around the house. "When you're not hunting, all you want to do is hang out on Trad Gang". She said it with a smile, but it was one of those cockeyed little smiles, that I've come to know can mean trouble.

She knows how much hunting means to me, and rarely gives me any flak about how much I hunt, even though at times, It's a lot.

I explained how great you folks are, and how nice it is to be able to share my love of traditional archery, and hunting with like minded people.

She's a great woman, and she said she understands how I feel about it, but she also said she'd appreciate it if I'd work on the kitchen remodeling project I started last month, in between my Trad Gang fixes. I guess that's not too much to ask, considering how good she treats me.   :bigsmyl:

I know what you mean, and the look can really sell what they mean. (Insert whip crack here  :)  I like to hang out here too. You better get back to that remodel!

I can't get rid of her now, it takes too long to break in a new one.   :D

No offense to any of the ladies here, just a joke.

Treat the wife the way you want to be treated!!!  Hunting is great, having someone to up snuggle next to when you've had a bad day is as good as it gets!!!!

My wife said something along that line awhile back. At least I think that's what she said. I was reading Trad Gang and really wasn't listening!   :biglaugh:

Some women do not understand, that when a man says he'll do something, reminding him every 6 months or or so borders on harassment.  Huntin, fish in, scouting , shooting, chores

Thanks for all the replies. A couple of them made me laugh so hard, I almost spit my coffee on my keyboard.  :D

We have a good relationship, with lots of give and take. We've been together for 14 years and still going strong.

I'm gonna take a quick look around to see what's new here, then I'm off to cut, paint and install some new trim. I don't really have a lot left to do, just haven't been at it in a while. Thanks.

I only get that when I am occupying the TV and the computer. Then she says I can't do both    :bigsmyl:

Absolutely! If we can be involved in a hunt, and at the same time watch for sign, and still notice the other things going on in the woods around us, that's a piece of cake.

I know, I really need to get at that trim now.  :D
