Abe just emailed me pics of my new Silver Fox. 62", 58#@28", Macassar/Gabon riser, macassar limbs, buff horn tips and thumb rest. This thing is just drop dead beautiful.

Wow!!! I mean WOW!!!!
:p
Beautiful Brother!
That's is a beauty and work of art!
So nice
Congrats Danny! Thats a beauty brother!
WOW!! That's a looker. Congrats
O wow that is a beautiful bow very very nice !!!
Very Nice! I am loving my Tuktu Ex.... been eyeing some of his Silver Foxes for a while. Been waiting for Abe to come out with a silver fox with Static recurve limbs - but after seeing this............
I'm a big fan and I think that's the nicest I've seen....
I love dark bows. That is really beautiful.
Danny ,that is a stunning bow!
Great looking bow! He sure makes some good ones.
I love the imperfection in the thumb rest. Just beautiful. I hope Matt posts pics of his he just got. And you can post my 2pc Slynx that's getting the final spray now when I get them. Abes work is amazing.

I had a set of his only set of recurve limbs for the Silver Fox in my possession. I did some testing. It wasn't worth the effort to make more. There was only a 1-2fps difference between his longbow limb and recurve limb.
Beautiful, you alway's have the nicest bow's.
Wow !!!
  beautiful bow!!!!
Imperfection in the thumb rest? What bow are you looking at Keith!? First time I have ever heard Abe's bows and "imperfection" in the same sentence ;) I love how he carries the line in the riser through to the limb butt caps.
Have to say Danny, I'm a little green with envy here. It's not just you though, every time I see a new Caribow posted I get a little shot of envy coursing through me.
Mine should be in my hands soon.... I hope, hehe. I have never before sat through the anticipation of a custom bow(one year today). I feel as though I should send him a deposit for my next one now, get the jump on it.
Murray,
I believe what Keith was referring to was the indentations in the horn, I much prefer that to sanding the horn smooth and he does too. Not really an imperfection, more character.
I've had some darker bows lately that I like, but the next couple are more toward the lighter side, including a 2 piece Tuktu from Abe this summer.
That bow looks so nice, I'm beginning to question myself ! :D
I did see what Keith was referring to Danny, like you I refer to those as character marks, I was just ribbing Keith a bit on his choice of terms. That buffalo horn looks great by the way. I don't know how you do it Danny, but you seem to have the nicest collection of bows I am aware of. How do you select which one to hunt with, and what is next on your list?
LOL, Murray,
It is hard sometimes. Got a macassar Silver Tip recurve with exhibition grade walnut burl limb veneers being built right now with either kudu or eland tips and either kudu or eland up the sight window. And a mountain lion scrimshaw medallion in the sight window. The riser is 14" with the long limbs making a 58" bow.
That is BEAUTIFUL!!! I call first dibs if you decide to sell....
Very well designed bow,Danny! Those are some of my prefered woods too.
I haven't heard from Dave or Beth about the Eland horn yet. They have it.
Great looking and great performing bows. Congrats Danny

Got ya. However, this Tuktu I have is the most accurate bow I have ever shot - I think the static tips adds to performance - but I also think it would just make one pretty bow as well :)
Amazing!!!!! I gotta shoot one of those some day....Ive never seen a Caribow that WASNT a stunner! Beautiful!!!! :clapper:
That is a work of art!
Im trying so hard right now on not picking up the phone to call Abe. Every time I talk or go see that man it costs me money !!
Honestly Darren, what accounts for greater regret; a rack plumb full of beautiful, great shooting bows like that which Abe produces, or an empty space on the rack and in your heart?
I have not even received mine yet but am already mulling over how I can scrounge a few nickels and set aside a few dimes to pay for the next one. Thinking a one piece wolverine with flared riser and some burl veneers. Though, that pass around tuktu was quite fun to shoot, and I really like that swirl face point overlay he is doing on the silver fox now....
Nice one Danny as usual.
A LOT of thought went into that Bow's construction!!! It turned out BEEEutiful Abe... Nicely Done!
Sweet bow Danny !!!!
Bill
That is really nice!!
That is just gorgeous!!!!
Lookin' good Danny! Can't beat ebony for beauty.
Wow, very nice!
You know how to pick'em...beautiful bow!!
That's a beauty Danny!
Enjoy
58 lbs is a little too heavy for me Danny.
oops - double post
Danny that is beautiful. Abe continues to be quite the artist!
I have wanted one of these bows ever since seeing one. Simply GORGEOUS!!
Nalajr
Thanks guys. I told Abe what I wanted as far as woods go and the buff for the tips and thumb rest and he did the rest, amazing as always.
Amazing!!!
Stunning Danny, Abe does incredible work!
Danny, I think when I get ready to order another bow that I will just get in touch with you and see what wood combo's you have in mind. You seem to always know what I want. Lol!
Beautiful Danny
:bigsmyl: Be happy to help you with choosing Bill.
awesome....a true work of art
Very nice looking stick, Danny!
I bet it looks even better in person!
Bisch
Beautiful bow Danny. Abe is a topnotch craftsman! Denny
I heard from Abe today. Any day. Its in the spray booth. Whoohoo!
Real teaser!
What are your thoughts on putting one of Abe's leather grips on this beautiful SF?...I think the bare grip is really good but even better with the beavertail....Tom.
Real nice.
Tom,
Have never seen a Silver Fox with the beaver tail grip, but I do not want it on mine, probably gonna have Dave Windauer checker it though.
Danny, thanks for the offer. I will take you up on that.
Also, my silver fox does have the beaver tail grip on it but I think I like them better without and I know that I would love it checkered like my Silvertip
My SF is checkered. I love it.
Got an email from Abe yesterday. My Slynx is in final spraying stages. Cant wait for pics.
that is going to be a sweet bow my brother. I too cannot wait to see the pics.
Got it in my hands, the pictures do not do this bow justice, and boy does it shoot!
Now that is a good looking bow. Never had the privilege of holding one of Abe's bows. They must be few and far between in this part of the country. Probably a good thing or my wallet would be a good deal lighter.Congrats on your purchase.
Beauty of a stick Danny! Best of luck with her. I had one a few years back and let it go. It's one of those mistakes you wish you could take back.

I just read this through for the first time, and I was thinking to myself, if your new bow shoots just half as good as it looks, the critters are in trouble. Sounds like they are. ;)
Gorgeous bow!
