I typicaly shoot my Misty Dawn, my moose hunting bow, or my lighter weight NM Classic or Dave Johnson when I want to work on my form. I rarely shoot the Morning Star that I got from Ralph Harris.
However, after reading all the posts about the new Morning Stars James is selling, I figured I should give mine some range time:

This is a 5-shot group from 20 yards. The previous group was nearly as good, with one busted nock. Talk about a confidence builder!
Well Chuck
I take it she was showing you what you have been missing out on
Maybe you have a new Moose bow????
Nice shooting. I have never owned a forward handle. Hill Style?
Ron: I'd take her moose hunting, but she's 2#'s under the 50# minimum.
KYArcher: It is a Hill style made by James Berry.
Oh man.........2#'s.......that's a shame, but good thing you have back up bows....lol!
Yep....James' bows don't shoot well. They're downright homely looking too. Somebody needs to talk to him about these aspects of his bow building so maybe one day he'll have a career doing this and not just raising dogs. :goldtooth:
Man oh man.... How do you "forget" a bow like that and that shoots that nice :)
Mr. Puka beads, Think I will send Ric O Sly over to show you, what a real TEXEN is. lol ..OE
PS. Tim King will work well also.
I shoot the Misty Dawn well enough to nail a moose. I just need to catch up with one of the varmits!
nice shooting! not to state what i'm sure you're already aware of...but is it 48 pounds at 28"? or...48# at your draw length? I have gorilla length arms so my bows are usually 7 or 8 pounds heavier at my draw length than at 28...makes it tough to get arrows stiff enough! I can barely get 340's short enough to tune with my "45#" recurve
It is 48#@28", which is close to what I draw.
