Title: Denver barebow shooters
Post by: Kabo on May 10, 2015, 08:23:00 PM
I'm considering buying a proper indoor barebow competition rig, but I'd love to shoot one or two of them before I commit. Anyone in the Denver area with a dedicated barebow rig (Best Moon, Spigarelli, etc.) that would be willing to meet up and let me shoot their bow? I'd be happy to pay your range fee at any of the area ranges.

Hey Doc, what actually constitutes the rig your referring to? Is that basically like an Olympic style setup without sights, clickers etc... You could ask Tom and the guys if they know anybody. Also might get some help from the RMAA website.  If your who I think you are I shot with you at RMSGear the other day. I had the dryad longbow you shot way better than I can;-)

Hey chief... Yes that was me. Though I would argue that 2 arrows doesn't make me a good shot, just someone who knows when to quit. There are some folks who shoot olympic risers barebow style (without stabilizers, clickers, or sights), but there are a couple manufacturers who make risers dedicated for barebow shooting. They are typically balanced to be shot without a stabilizer, and have weight that can be added to the riser itself to further fine tune the balance. I've been curious as to how a rig like this would shoot for me. I'll check the RMAA website and maybe check the tradtalk forums, as well. Thanks! -Kevin
