I've been to canada fifteen times hunting bears and fishing for walleye and pike. It was a big part of my life for ages but I own a swimming pool service and repair business now so it's just not an option to go up in the spring. We actually have some great bear hunting here in the North GA mountains so I get to do that still but I miss the whole experience. Please post a ton of pics and stories for those that are going.
I was always in Quebec but love all the Canadian stuff.
I would love to get up north for some trad hunting. I used to go up for walleye and pike with my dad. He goes every other year. Did some drive in and fly in trips. Northern Ontario and Quebec usually. I believe the nearest town was Nakina the last time I went up. Beautiful country and I loved seeing the beavers and moose. I enjoyed perch fishing around the weed beds. Just drop the line over the side and yank it up when they bite.
I'm going to Quebec 6-13 thru 6-20 with Bear Quest. All guys from on here. I hope to have a story to tell when I get back, I have heard great things about this trip.
I'm heading up to Manitoba next Saturday, May 16th for a week with Desjardins Outfitting. This will be my 4th time with them, the last back in 2006. Since then I've been going out west mule deer hunting, but got the bug again for another bear hunt. The friend I'm going with will be his first.
My son and I are going to Manitoba last week in May. Really excited about our first time up north. Will post as many pics,(Hopefully of dead Bears)as I can.
I'll be heading to Wollaston Lake in Northern Saskatchewan the first full week in June. It will be my second time on Wollaston catching monster pike, walleyes and grayling. Will also be chasing big bears. Took home a bear that went 18 15/16" in 2013.
I'll be back to the Duck Mountains of Manitoba for the first week of June.
Be at Stickflingers in Mantoba the first week in June, first day hunting is actually 5/31. Counting down the days! Watched all of Ryan's hunt videos and can't wait to get up there with those big Bears. Hoping to have great stories to tell.
Where's that "green with envy" smilie thing ? :D
Good Luck to all fortunate enough to be going !
Heading to BC to hunt with Darcy Ellis on the 23rd. Sneaking up on bears trying to pull their tails, we will both have bows and our big knives.
Check out Darcy's work on the knife forum, he doesn't post much on PowWow.
Just landed in Grande Prairie, Alberta (Friday night) got six days starting Sunday with Wizzard Lake Outfitters. This is their Trophy camp, looking for a PY or nothing.
This is my first trip with them, if they are half as good as the
References said they were, we are in for a good time. No coverage in camp will let you guys know something next Saturday.

OK. :D
We have a ton of Trad Gangers hunting with us this spring and most are great writers to boot. I expect there will be a ton of stories to read here in a short while...
I hunted BC last year and still, each and everyday I think back to my time there. Great people, great hunting and the views.... They are just something else!
Good luck to all the guys off to Canada hunting this year.

New Brunswick the first week in June for bear and a fly-in fishing trip the 3rd week in June for walleye and pike. :)
best of luck Terry , post lots of pics please
OK, out of the bush and back at Hotel in Grande Prairie, AB.
Heading back to Texas tomorrow morning.
Weather was good, food was good, camp was good, hunt and guides were excellent. Not huge numbers of bears but some really nice ones. Six hunters in camp, all Bowhunters, shot nine bear, seven were PY and one made Boone. I was the only stickbow, but the other hunters were super guys.
Mine squared 6' 8", and scored 18 3/16, made my year already. I think I've said it before, I LOVE Bear hunting.
