Would clear glass on belly be less efficient than black glass on a custom bow? This bow is usually made with black glass but mine has clear. I'm thinking no but not sure. I do have another well known custom with clear over lams and it is a great performer.
I have heard that black glass is the best, but I would bet my bottom dollar that there are not 6 people in this world who could actually tell a difference! Probably less than 6!

I think the difference is probably beyond our perception, unless you have a shooting machine, chrono, and really really care about that small of a difference. I enjoy my bows in all colors thats for sure.
The clear glass won't make any difference. If you add veneers, it can slow it down a small amount.
My only issue with clear glass is it's not clear. Too many streaks for my taste any more.

Glass is glass is glass. The tiny bit of dye added to the epoxy to color it is NOT going affect a single thing except color. Not the bonding of teh epoxy, nor the strength of the expoy, nor any other aspect of the epoxy-fiberglass amalgam.
The idea that color affects fiberglass efficiency is an urban myth.
What wingnut said.
OK, that's what I thought but it's good to get that out of my mind.
