QUOTE: by Barry Wensel
Andrew Warrington, the excellent artist from
England, has just finished an absolutely outstanding montage drawing of Fred Bear. I know you'll be impressed. It's a portrait of Fred in the center, with a collection of six additional drawings of Fred and some of his bowhunting trophies. Elephant, tiger; brown bear; Cape buffalo; whitetail and Stone Sheep are all included. This should be
extremely popular with the Fred Bear fans, as well as a historic documentation of bowhunting's early history. Here's the deal.
As stated, Andrew is from England. He has asked Gene and I if we would market this print for him here in the U.S. through our website of:
www.brothersofthebow.com. (http://www.brothersofthebow.com.) Please note Gene and I are not getting a single cent from this venture. This will be a Limited Edition Print of only 190 copies. Each will be signed and numbered by the artist. They will be sold first-come/ first-served for $100. each, plus $10. S&H exclusively through our BOTB website.
Now the good part, Andrew has graciously offered to donate 70% of all profits to the St. Jude Hospital for Children. What he'd like to do is have you post a "press release" of sorts to get the word out. Not necessarily an ad but an announcement of their availability with a photo. If you would be willing to work with us Andrew is willing to donate an artist's proof/print to you in appreciation. Right now Gene is in the middle of some major computer issues and our website guru, Gary Logsdon, is on a family vacation (not hunting) for another week or so. After he gets back he's promised to add the print and ordering info to our BOTB webpage.
Meanwhile, if you would send me your appropriate USPS mailing address I'd be more than happy to send you an artist's proof copy for helping. You are more than welcome to keep it or do whatever you want with it to your benefit. As I said, I've not ever done anything like this before, so if you have any other ideas I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance from Andrew Warrington, Gene,
myself and the kids at St. Jude's. BW

I bought one of these just a bit ago and it is a very awesome print. I have it framed and waiting for me to paint the room so I can hang it.
Andrew is an amazing artist and I have several of his works.

I'm gonna do some scraping under truck seats and couch cushions. I really liked this one when first posted and figured they were gone.... Not gonna miss a chance to get one. Thanks :)
I've got one of those. Pics don't do it justice. Need to get it framed up.
I received mine, they are very nice.
I bought one of these when first advertised here. Mine is #10 of 190. I've had it framed and it is hanging in my man cave. This is a beautiful piece, well worth the money, and it benefits St. Judes to boot. Don't hesitate to buy, you will not be sorry. :campfire: :shaka:
