Hello all, I am about caught up with orders and before I start taking them again I want to add another model. In the past (late 90's) I shot and built a lot of 56" bows that would pull smooth to 30", I still have the form and with a few tweaks I could have it ready to go. Or, I have had a lot of requests for a longer Kanati, like 60,62 & 64". I have a really small shop so I only have room for one more form.
What do you prefer? Longer or shorter?
The current Kanati is offered from 56 to 60"
Jason,
Not voting but I am super happy with my "stock" bow and it may have turned me into a longbow lover.

I'm on the fence with this one, I love the idea of a short longbow but not sure how well I'd shoot it
Longer!
Bisch
I think there would be more market for a longer design. I have heard nothing but good things about your current models.
I have been shooting 58" and 60" longbows for hunting for a long time but recently I have been drawn back to my 64"-68" longbows...so I voted Longer!!!
Hunters that use tree stands will mostly choose a shorter bow... I love being on the ground and dig longer bows... A 62" Kanati would be just the ticket!
... mike ... :archer2: ...
Got two 56",guess what I voted. I'm also only a 26" draw.
I have a rare 54" that shoots great with my short 26" draw so I voted short as well
When I first was introduced to trad bows, I bought into the short bow phenomenon that was currently the rave HARD, but now I am very content with my 62" bow whether its on the ground, up a tree or at a 3-d shoot. I do see a need for a shorter bow in a ground blind but that's the exception not the rule in my book.
BTW, I have a 26" draw ON A GOOD DAY.
Having said all of this, a short Kanati is one sweet package! Too each his own.
Two of my longbows are 64", but my 58" Kanati handles my 29" draw very well. If I can get that same smooth draw in a smaller package I'm all for it.
Thanks for the feedback so far guys.
Here is a picture of me from 1999 or 2000 with an old friend of mines son and dog. This was a 54" bow.

I sure was thankful to see the majority..thus far anyway..are hoping for the longer version.
..I think about getting a Kanati literally every day...
I'd like a 62-64"
Not cause I have a long draw.
Just because I like the string angle at my fingers of a longer bow.
SHORT!!
Longer for me. I'm a tall guy and a short bow just feels out of perspective to me. 62" or 64".
Already voted, but I'm kinda with Zradix on this. I draw 27.5/28ish, and like the feel of a little longer limb, lower string angle... Gladly try a 60".
What length would you get rid of?
I have one of your 60" and it's the only one of that length that I shoot very well, but if you made a 64" I would be on board.
Longer 64"
Well I voted shorter. Love my 60"ers we also have a 58" can't see how much different 56" would be. (Besides 2") 54" would be fun.
I'm Matty's polar opposite here. 64" sounds wonderful! Jason from the movie "Field of dreams" with a twist....If you build it..They will buy it! rat'
My next longbow will be at least 62", if that helps. Not interested in short longbows.
He's got a few in the sponsors classified.
Jason, i have a 56in that I love and shoot well. I would hate to see you get rid of that one. That said, I have had a hankering for a longer bow just to shoot so I voted longer. You should do both.
I've come to prefer longer bows, so that's how I voted, but it really sounds like it is time to enlarge the shop.
Ha! I sure wish I could Fletcher, it would be nice.
I sure wont be getting rid of the current Kanati. I just feel like adding another something. Thanks for the feedback so far.
I voted longer because I think it would add to your marketability. Personally I liked the few kanati's have already shot.
x2 on the enlarged shop.
Voted longer; however, I have owned a 56" and 58". The 58" is my go to bow, but had no problems with the 56". Would still be shooting it, if it had not developed a problem.
I've got two Kanati bows under 60" ...love em both...I'd be in the market for a 60" or "maybe" a 62"....
I'm voting shorter yet. 54" would be awesome for us shorter draw guys. 54" is probably my favorite of all bows. Why carry any more than what you need? Your 56" is awesome to shoot.

Oh Rat were not opposites. It'd be hard to steer me away from my 60"er I neeally like the stability of a "longer" bow. But like the compact-ness of a short one either one would be fine for me.
I've harrassed JK Alot about this... But what we do need to talk him into is a 2PC!!! :p
I agree. A 2 piece would be awesome
Great idea Matty! Dang!....That would be sweet. Phenolic riser, bow bolt,Eastern Diamondback backed,Black&White Ebony belly,Stag tips,Beavertail grip. You can do it Jason!!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, it looks like I have some work to do.
62"
My 60" is a perfect hunting bow. A longer one might be nice for those guys I know with gorilla arms, but it will be hard to beat a 60" Kanati. My 2 cents worth.
