Anyone make a 3" feather chopper?
The Little Chopper is available in 3" shield and parabolic.
Guy
I use a 5" chopper to make 3" slightly modified parabolics. Cut your feather to 3" first, then chop the back end. Move the feather to the front and chop that. It's that simple, of course you have to have a chopper longer than 3" to start with.
3Rivers have that chopper for 3" parabolic and shield . But i don“t know how is difficult to cut
I bought a 3" shield cut little chopper at the trad bow show in Kalamazoo a couple years ago. I've had good luck with it, it's just as easy to use as my 5" chopper. I've been using my left over pieces from the full length feathers. I've done 3 fletch and 4 fletch with the 3 inchers and had good results with both.
Thanks for all the info. SB98,I have a boat load of cut off feathers and need to use them up.
