I've built a pair of TD longbows as I have time. Plan is to have me hunt one and my Bro the other for a year or a few years, then hand em over to my 2 boys. Hopefully have some old guy mojo by then and maybe a bit of blood on em.
Finished #1 , here are a few pics.

Some pics of #2,it came in about 3/4 # heavier than # 1 but I'm good with it at 52.48# @ 28" in a 64" TD
They are nothing fancy, just a couple plain one wood(and some aboo) bows.

Confession- I bought a Samick Sage about 3 months ago. We liked the grip so well, I made these as close as I could, they are narrower at 1 5/16 wide but same basic shape.
Bro says his shoots better than any bow he has ever shot and texted me some pics this morning to show me. I even broke a nock while ago!
Those are gorgeous bows. You did a great job.
Wow! Very, very nice! Is that bocote in the riser?
Yep, all bocote but the cores are amber boo.
Thanks!!
Beautiful bows. Great heirloom too.
Good stuff Kenny.
Beautiful wood. Build up the MOJO.
Very nice looking bow. But what is up with tying up your deer's legs so he can't run away. I'll have to try that, is it like bulldogging. :-)
LOL, he takes arrows pretty well, but the mower is just too hard on him!!
Thanks,guys!!
Very, very NICE!
Great work!
Those area awesome Kenny!
Very nice buddy. Good to see some green in the background.
Nice bows Kenny, I especially like the wood grain on them, very handsome. My son has a Sage and I've sold several to newbies around here, I agree they have a very friendly grip.
Those are gorgious, bacote is my favorite!
