Okay ladies and gents, what goodies are coming up and when????
I will kick off...
waiting for a Timberghost 3 pce hybrid... She will be 60", 45@28. Beautiful belly of crazy myrtle veneers from Idaho Curt (the wood vault) and cross-weave carbon back. I-beam Phenolic riser with some Myrtle. Inserts for a Thunderhorn Small Fry contrast bold-on quiver in matching colors.. Still thinking about a stippled grip and/or antler limb bolts.
She will be ready end august...
Here are the veneers:

Anticipation, anticipation... I think she will have a great mix of modern and traditional materials... I hope she will be as special as I think she will be... Sometimes a day passes without thinking about it...
Wow, beautiful veneers Brother. You will love that bow. I shot one this April and it was amazing.
Thanks bro, I shot one last summer, and when I was home again, I ordered one at once... :)

"Waiting Room" is a interesting idea for a thread. Since you asked my number is about to be called in the waiting room for a Schafer Silvertip with some outstanding figured Mango veneers with smooth, silver/gray horn tips and a custom designed riser stripe!! :)
I am also a fan of Curt at the Wood Vault and since I got some crazy Myrtle...

I am back in the waiting room for a Wes Wallace Mentor with these veneers and a Macassar Ebony riser!!
I have some patience since I have way to many bows. May have to thin them out a little later this year.
I am looking forward to a new 58" Chinook 56#@29 in about two weeks.
Also a Leon Stewart recurve, supposed to be this month. Hoping to change the specs from 56# to 52 @ 29.
I haven't had a new bow in many years...kinda stoked
I'm waiting for a Java Man Helm's Deep. I'm planning on asking Greg to build it just like the one I shot at the Kalamazoo Expo, but 5# or so lighter. I have some very pretty, possibly even flashy bows, but I was struck by the dark, subdued beauty of this one.
Having said that Ad, if you decide not to use those veneers, I know where you can send them :)

I don't have a waiting room. But I do have those that I have not made public yet! I'll say they are in the "green room"!

I am waiting for a Big Jim Thunderchild.
Tiger Myrtle veneers and a figured walnut crotch riser. It will have sheep horn tips and overlay.
I look forward to the note on my door saying I missed the mail man.
56" Kempf Kwyk Styk, 53@28. Bocote limb veneers, moose antler/phenolic tips, cocobolo phenolic in the riser.

Also a 62" Rose Oak Heritage TD with Rosewood and Zebrawood to look similar to the Bear Supreme TD.

Dang, I see some beautiful stuff here! Seems that Curt's veneers are pretty popular.... How can that be.... ?
Love those veeners. They will look great!
Wow...you guys are forcing me to order a new bow. I can't take it. Call the Doc... I think I'm heading for the waiting room. Those myrtle and mango veneers are awesome! Thanks for sharing.
WOWW incredible looking veneers !!!

Sasquatch Static ss 60" 70 @ 30.5
Cocobolo riser/curly maple footing
Carbon backed/core limbs w curly maple belly.
Excited to see it, I know Kirk will do an excellent job. I must say Kirk has been a pleasure to work with. Talking with him is like talking to an old friend.
Andy
Hubi, I'd love to see pics as well as I'm also on Greg's list.
I am on Mr Ron La Clair's list for a Super Shrew. Ordered it the day before Christmas. And the itching is super bad! I might have some time to wait though! I am sure the wait will be worthwhile!!
Hubi my friend,
That's fast! Cant wait for the pics! You are a champ in being short in the waiting room! Congrats!
Rose Oak Heritage - August
Blacktail T2 Sitka - Sept.-Oct. (may change to Snakebit)
I ordered a Black Widow PLX last week with these myrtle veneers I got from IdahoCurt.
It will be 62" 48#@28" with a zircote takedown rizer. Now the wait begins.

I'm not sure if I'm in the waiting room or pre-op scrub..I've got a couple bows awaiting cosmetic work, including a 1969 black-tip Kodiak Magnum with a highly figured tigerwood riser that will leap out of a new finish. But I'm still in my re-finishing internship...
Great idea for a thread Dutch!
I'm waiting on a 2'piece Cari-Bow featherhorn. Yew core, yew belly. Left the riser and back veneers to Abe's discretion. Beaver tail grip and a mountain goat woodburning.
Can't go wrong with a caribow....
Just got a call on Friday from Dan Toelke that my new Super D is on the way! Can't wait to see it!
Bill-
There are really some pretty stuff here. I wish I could put something on order.
I feel your pain bro! I had to save a long time and sell one of my three bows in order to get the money to order this one...
I've been shooting longbow for 16 years. This will be my first custom and I pinched, scrimped, saved and whined for two or three years. I have a lot of hobbies, my wife would say too many, but bowhunting is easily my favourite, most promintent and the one that consumes most of my spare resources. Woodworking runs a close second, but my tablesaw paid for itself in the first month I owned it, can't say the same for any bow, backpack or binoculars I ever bought.
This is an awesome thread and thought it was worth resurrecting!
I've asked Abe Penner of Caribow to build me a Tuktu EX...can't friggin wait!
Saw these veneers on Curts site, and jumped all over them as quick as I could. Missed the last set of spalted mango and thought I'd have to go with something else.
(http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s194/Tamboti/spaltedmango1066_zpst3mhvkda.jpg) (http://s152.photobucket.com/user/Tamboti/media/spaltedmango1066_zpst3mhvkda.jpg.html)
Riser is going to be some pretty Ziricote!
But I can't decide between a one piece or two piece bow...what do you guys think?
This thread has produced some really nice pictures of veneers. We expect pictures of the finished bows, please.
We've not seen "Flying Dutchman" in a long time. I had email contact with him and know he struggled with a debilitating ailment, that in most is progressive...
I'm not sure he'd want that aired out, so I'll leave it at that but he's been in my prayers and thoughts often thru this silence... :(
Those veneers are incredible.
I am waiting on a new Jet longbow to be built, but it will be colored glass back and belly, no awesome wood showing. It will be for hunting and shooting and not for looking at. I have an RER bow that I often just look at, rich in bocote, which I think is my favorite.
ChuckC
Thanks Chuck C! I'm sorry to hear about Flying Dutchman though, that is terrible news and I hope he is in good spirits at least!
I took off work early today to be here for the postman to deliver me a new Tall Tines longbow. It'll be my first new bow in a couple years now. I went through a phase looking for the perfect take down that lasted several years and a couple hundred bows. Life got hectic and it never seemed to materialize so I kept on keeping on with my old standby Sarells 1-piece which I LOVE, except when packing the car. Well today I have a nice osage and cocobolo stickfinger coming in.
Sounds awesome GDPolk! Post some pics up when you can would be great to see it.

I may do just that.
Those are gorgeous veneers fellas.
Is Kent taking orders now?
I am in the WR for a Wes Wallace "Mentor". 66" 55-60 @ 31" Riser Cocobolo- Split Veneers Bocote & Cocobolo. Its due in March sometime! :archer:

Going to be a super sweet bow Raghorn! The wait is a killer though
I'm waiting for a Black Canyon 3 piece take down long bow. I think I'll be waiting until around May before I receive it. In the mean time, I'm working on finishing my first bow build.
I love seeing all of these beautiful veneers. Might have to pick up another set for my 2nd bow build. ;)
Waiting with heightened anticipation for a set of TGhost G3 new generation static tips.
Yet, patiently waiting until Mr. Kent Roberts is completely satisfied with this new limb design.

NOTE: I received noticce that Photo bucket has some "Maintenance" being done and pictures posted thru PB are absent...sure appears to be correct.
Source didn't say if it will allow pics to automatically come back after today's maintenance is completed or not, but don't hassle Rob or Terry...it's not them nor your computer but PB
Waiting for a Javaman Assyrian. Haven't used a one pc in a while. I'm looking forward to a lighter weight bow. I'm hoping this one is then end to the bow search! At least for a while.
Beautiful bow GDPolk, the wait was worth it!
I am waiting for a new Dale Dye Medicine Point! 58", 55#@28", Macassar Ebony with Bloodwood center stripe and maple points! Due in Feb 2018!
Vince from Mohawk is fashioning me a 62" Sparrow Hawk as we speak. Bocote and Cocobola riser. Red Elm Lams and boo cores. First mild r/d bow,am very excited to say the least!
Some bad mammajammas and some awesome veneers on here! Went in almost the opposite direction, with a takedown Wes Wallace Stealth in the pipeline. Gray laminate, wenge accents, antler tips and overlays, and checkered grip. Real good odds that I,'ll be tryna talk him into the same thing, 'cept in a one piece, in a long bow!..
Should be a february due date, starting to get the itch a little bit already..
Waiting on a Blacktail. Thinking macassar ebony and curly maple or bacote and curly maple.
Macassar ebony and quilted maple would be ideal, but quilted maple is only available for T2 edition and I can't afford an $800.00 upgrade just for quilted maple.
I've had a VL in the past that I shot very well but sold it and went to a Horne Brushbow. I've still got a Brushbow, but I was slightly more accurate with the Blacktail, so after a few years of telling myself to get another Blacktail, I dropped a down payment 3 weeks ago.
I'm very much looking forward to having another Blacktail in my hand.
