I must have too much time on my hands or too much vacation time this year but I was half thinking of going to a shooting school. Any suggestions ? Thanks Guys

Rod Jenkins Clinic at 3 Rivers sometime or whenever you can attend.  That is the best course you can take period.

I hope to be able to ad a "x2" to that statement. I'm signed up for the May class there. Really looking forward to it.

Rod's class was the best money I have ever spent on archery!

As Rod will say in the clinic,  Its what you do and how you practice after the clinic that counts.  You will leave with a plan on how to get much better.

I hope to attend again next year.

Hey Jim,

Rod Jenkins is an excellent choice, but Another guy that i would recommend is Rick Welch. I have a couple buddies that really got a lot out of his shooting clinic that also went to Rods.

Another vote for Mr. Jenkin's class, $ well spent and agree you will get out of it what effort you put in after.

Rod Jenkins is obviously very good, but if I was spending money on one, it would be Rick Welch for me!!
Never had the money or time to attend one of his clinics, but I spoke to him a bunch, got onto his forum, bought his videos, and watched all his you tube videos, and that really, really helped my shooting hugely, really shrunk  my groupings exponentially

I never made it to Rick Welch's school... but got an hour with him a few years ago at a nearby Gander Mountain.

While he is an exceptional shot, he's an even better teacher!

I would highly recommend him.

Good luck!!

Rick Welch will be in Mo. About the 3rd week of June near Springfield.

I learned more from Rod in 2 days that I had learned in the previous 20 years.  Easy to follow, easy to understand, proven techniques.  Rod isn't just a World Champion archer, he's also coached several champions.

X2 what Kirk says. Attended Jenkins class last year. Learned a lot.  Great guy and teacher.  Very different than Rock Welch's. Ricks is not a class. It is one on one. And not about just shooting form. He covers all things that are archery and hunting.  Equipment. Arrows. Getting flatter trajectory. Bow design. Plus he has won more championships than pretty much anyone else. He did this by winning with long bows, self bows and recurves. Sometimes entering multiple times same weekend. I just finished 2nd day of training. Last day today. Way more to absorb than any other training I have participated in. But the info varies so provides some natural breaks from over shooting.

I like the one on one idea. I shoot OK but I'd like to shoot farther. I'd also like to be able to figure out my mistakes quicker. I've switched from 3 under to split and now and then my release is bad. I don't want that to happen on an elk. Thanks Guys

I'd love to attend the Asbell clinic.
