How many gang members in Idaho? I am in the truck with brother Nate (TOECUTTER) headed that way. Nate is going to live in Idaho and work in Washington. The town we are headed for is Coeur d'alene, anyone near by? Drew
I've got a friend that lives in or near there Drew. He's a Union Carpenter and has to travel to work most of the time. I know he works in Washington occasionally.
Denny shoots Trad when he has time but with 3 young kids that's not very often.
I hear it's beautiful there.
bretto
Brett: that's great I know nate talks to a couple guys out that way. We will be trying to get some hunting in before I have to go back to NY , maybe turkey or bear ,looks like lots of public land access and should be fun just to get into the mountains. Thanks Drew
WELL...!!!!! There goes the Camp Cook!!! :(
Tyler IS NOT, going to be happy to here this!!! LMAO
Best of Luck, Nathan!!!!! You'll always be my Brother, No matter how far away you live!!! :bigsmyl:
I am about an hour North of your target
I'm moving to idaho too. Good bye new York
Heading out the end of September. Probably be closer to Boise
We'll have have a ny'er get together.
Check the idaho state thread , I've been in contact with some guys on there and the idaho trad bow hunters
Have a safe trip Fellars. I cant imagine being in the truck that long with you guys. what is it a 45-hour [plus ride? Even more if you miss your exit????
When that happens I would really hate to be in the truck with Nate. :readit: ;) ;) :biglaugh:
I hope you guys have some luck hunting! Maybe this time the turks wont give you a duck.
Drive safe and have a goodtime......Nate, good luck on your new endeavor.
Used to drive thru Coeur d'alene on way from Helena (when I lived there) to Spokane to visit friends... gorgeous country up thru that panhandle area! Yikes! Steep though...good you boys are young (at heart at least!) and it fit form!
Bit of a hoof to go to work in winter, but hey, no pain, no gain! Drive safe!
Yep, about an hour north.
Enjoy the ride, and be safe. I'll miss shooting Denton with you Nate. Good luck Drew.
Safe travels fellas and good luck Nate. I remember you mentioning wanting to leave the high tax low freedom region of the USA. Congrats on making it happen.
I lived in Spokane for two years, moved away in November. Miss it greatly! Goregous country up there. As soon as my ship comes in I'll be buying a summer home on lake Coeur D Alene and staying into Sept to hunt Elk.
While there, eat at Wolf Lodge (not the Spokane Location). Exit 22, cross over the interstate and turn right. It will be a couple miles down the road on your left.
Habu bows is in CDA too...if you look up their website you might be able to go over there and check it out
are the winters ,specifically snowfall, as bad as i've heard in CDA.
we are looking at living in that area, maybe orofino.
i read recently the snow total was 16'-9".
if thats true i might as well stay in NY.
maybe we'll run into each other nate.
No Kev, you got some bad info.
Good to know. Boise was looking kinda flat to me anyhow .
If at all possible, drive two hours west to Moses Lake this weekend where Traditional Bowhunters of Washington are holding there annual Rock Shoot. It's definitely one of the best trad shoots found in the Pacific Northwest.
Also, there is a trad group called the North Idaho Traditional Bowhunters that might be of interest to you.
It is not too far from CdA to this shoot:

Good luck with the move and getting settled.
Thanks for the updates guys, been driving all night and day just had a chance to check. Nate says thanks for all the well wishes and we will try to look some of you guys up when we get there. Thanks guys Drew
Sandpoint right here. Out in the woods.
Just drove through Moses lake today enroute to north of Seattle for the work week. My work schedule has me missing all the shoots except for Libby.
Excited for Nates new move!
Tzolk in sandpoint, what a small world. I'm from wyandotte . hope to meet you at some idaho shoots as well as nate
CDA is a beautiful place to live and I am hoping to retire there myself. My brother has lived there for over 20 years and his winters are a lot nicer than mine here in Michigan. The hunting there is also excellent but it does take a lot more effort than here, especially as I get older and those steep hills get steeper.
yep born and raised in CDA...live just north in Rathdrum now...the further south ya go the less snow youll get...
Cant wait to meet up and bend a bow with all of you fellas. Hopefully see u soon.
Nathan
Awesome trad shoot in Libby, Mt. in a couple weeks. Drop me a PM if you want the low down
You guys must be getting pretty close by now.....
Im hitting Libby for sure. Planning on camping Friday night for the Saturday shoot only with my 9 yo son if the weather holds. He shoots a Toelke Tadpole. Should be a fun gathering from what I've heard.
Hello.....??? :dunno:
Hope the Boys aren't "lost".....
That's some BIG Country out there!!!!!
Had 3 sizable earthquakes here last night....you think that has something to do with their absence?

You guys ain't Yankee fans are you? That question applies to you as well Kevin.
Now don't be prejudice Rob!
Not prejudice Mike..............pre-screening :biglaugh:
No sir no how!! Born and raised outside Detroit. Lions tigers n redwings are all I crave.
Go Wings!
I'm not from ID but I love the state! I think Coeur d' alene is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! The huge lake. When I was last through there they had Moose statues all over town.
Headed through there on June 6th from the Spokane airport on the way to a bear camp.
Bowwild,
You should head north a bit to Sandpoint. I bet your jaw will drop.
All in good fun fellas
Hope you guys are unpacked and already hunting!!!!
