How many gang members in Idaho?  I am in the truck with brother Nate (TOECUTTER) headed that way.  Nate is going to live in Idaho and work in Washington. The town we are headed for is Coeur d'alene, anyone near by?  Drew

I've got a friend that lives in or near there Drew. He's a Union Carpenter and has to travel to work most of the time. I know he works in Washington occasionally.

Denny shoots Trad when he has time but with 3 young kids that's not very often.

I hear it's beautiful there.

Brett: that's great I know nate talks to a couple guys out that way.  We will be trying to get some hunting in before I have to go back to NY , maybe turkey or bear ,looks like lots of public land access and should be fun just to get into the mountains. Thanks Drew

Have a  safe trip Fellars. I cant imagine being in the truck that long with you guys.  what is it a 45-hour [plus ride?  Even more if you miss your exit????

When that happens I would really hate to be in the truck with Nate.    :readit:      ;)      ;)          :biglaugh:

I hope you guys have some luck hunting! Maybe this time the turks wont give you a  duck.

Used to drive thru Coeur d'alene on way from Helena (when I lived there) to Spokane to visit friends... gorgeous country up thru that panhandle area! Yikes! Steep though...good you boys are young (at heart at least!) and it fit form!

Bit of a hoof to go to work in winter, but hey, no pain, no gain!  Drive safe!

I lived in Spokane for two years, moved away in November. Miss it greatly! Goregous country up there. As soon as my ship comes in I'll be buying a summer home on lake Coeur D Alene and staying into Sept to hunt Elk.

While there, eat at Wolf Lodge (not the Spokane Location). Exit 22, cross over the interstate and turn right. It will be a couple miles down the road on your left.

Habu bows is in CDA too...if you look up their website you might be able to go over there and check it out

are the winters ,specifically snowfall, as bad as i've heard in CDA.
we are looking at living in that area, maybe orofino.
i read recently the snow total was 16'-9".
if thats true i might as well stay in NY.
maybe we'll run into each other nate.

If at all possible, drive two hours west to Moses Lake this weekend where Traditional Bowhunters of Washington are holding there annual Rock Shoot. It's definitely one of the best trad shoots found in the Pacific Northwest.

Also, there is a trad group called the North Idaho Traditional Bowhunters that might be of interest to you.

CDA is a beautiful place to live and I am hoping to retire there myself.  My brother has lived there for over 20 years and his winters are a lot nicer than mine here in Michigan.  The hunting there is also excellent but it does take a lot more effort than here, especially as I get older and those steep hills get steeper.

I'm not from ID but I love the state!  I think Coeur d' alene is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen!  The huge lake. When I was last through there they had Moose statues all over town.

Headed through there on June 6th from the Spokane airport on the way to a bear camp.
