Title: Dale Dye fast flight compatible?
Post by: Buddy on October 07, 2007, 07:20:00 PM
I have a Dale Dye Trails End takedown that I bought used; 62", 60 pounds at 30".  The tips have overlays.  Does anyone happen to know if this bow is fastflight compatible?  The bow is at least 4 years old.

Thanks for the help!

4yrs old...most likely not. i think Dale Dye started making the trails end FF compatible a couple of years ago.

How do you know if a Dye bow is FF capable? I just acquired an 05' t/d and I need to replace the string. If it does not handle ff, do any of you Dale Dye tradgangers have any string suggestions for my Dye? Thanks in advance.

You really can't tell the fast flight tips from the regular by looking at them. At least I can't. I have two set of limbs presently, one with and one without. I would give Dale a call and see if he has any records. I agree with md126, they are most likly not fast flight. He only makes them if you insist.       Tim in NC

I got one last week, new from Dale, and it is not FF compatible.

If the tips have a strip of Phenolic under the wood then they are ok for FF.  Also , If you have horn tips Dale told me you can use FF material.
