I got my first custom bow today. I have 4 recurves with the newest being about 8 years older than I am. I've been wanting to try a longbow so I figured that'd be the way to go for my first new bow. Here it is: Flatwoods Custom RD longbow, 64", 47#@28", Jatoba riser, walnut limbs with bamboo cores, walnut/bamboo riser accents. I told the bowyer to build me a longbow around 46-49# and left the rest up to him. I'd say he fixed me up right.

Sweet looking longbow! Good luck with her!
Very nice bow. I have not heard of that bowyer.
Very nice! Nothing like getting a new bow, especially if it's your first.
Thanks guys. Britt, he's a pretty small operation in Georgia, named Billy Hudson. I don't even think it's a full time job for him, but he does nice work.
Thats a good looking bow. Surely to make you a longbow convert, haha
That is a nice bow for sure. I really like the wood colors. I like the way he runs the lame through the riser.
Thats a beauty!
Real nice.
Very nice looking bow
He did you a good job, that's a great looking bow.
How does she shoot?
Very nice indeed!
Sweet!
That IS a great looking now. I really like that profile. Good for you and great luck with it!!
Great Looking bow!
Super nice...should be seeing you this fall with some game under it!
Thanks again guys. She shoots great. Nice and smooth. The only thing is there's a slight twang when I shoot it. It has silencers , but it's still just a little louder than I want. Any suggestions from you longbow guys?
Now that's a bow!!! About the twang, you might wanna play a little with brace height. Just a thought...
Very nice looking bow!
Very nice!
X2 on Brace Height adjustment and/or a little heavier arrow if that's feasible. You could also play with silencer placement. Very nice looking stick you have there! Keep at it, you'll get 'er dialed in and quieted down.
oh... that is a beauty.
Very nice you should be a real threat come October.
