Title: Fred Bear Hunting DVD
Post by: LongStick64 on April 14, 2015, 08:00:00 PM
I am loving coming home from work and watching this DVD collection.
I have the Bear bug. I sold a ton of my bows and I am holding on to my 64 Bear Grizzly and 68 Super Kodiak. I was sold on traditional archery from a Boy Scout and gazing at a Bear Archery ad in a magazine with Fred Bear. Since then I have traveled the world of traditional bows finally returning to my roots. It's been a long long journey with many bows tried, many bows bought, sold and traded (I still have a couple more to go), but when I shoot my Bears it takes me back to when I would dream of one day being able to own one.
The DVD's are great so far, I'm learning more about Fred Bear than I ever knew. To watch how much grace the man has, no wonder he was a great ambassador to this sport.

There is a lot of good traditional bow hunting videos out there but it's something about watching
Fred Bear that never gets old.

The four disk set of his hunts is amazing. It makes me want to go back in time and experience bowhunting in those days

I watch the outdoor shows that are currently on TV occasionally and then go back and watch the Bear DVD collection. All I can is what a difference....

Out of all of them, The Oldest Game has got to be my favorite. I know the Grubstake Bowhunt of the Little Delta River was the famed trip, however there's just something about that camp set up and fall whitetails in the full color of autumn that just screams this is what it's all about.

I have been having a similar experience lately after watching the films over the winter.  I remember watching some of them on Michigan Out doors would show these films in the late 60s/early 70's.  That's probably what got me interested in bowhunting.
