Something vintage, long yearned for. Very hard to find. Finally found one, but it was broken. Could it possibly ever be reborn?
:campfire:
A Booner typical Whitetail 12 pointer with double drops that scores 220?
:campfire:
Now that is a case of baiting if I ever saw one.... totally not cool :)
YOU FOUND A PLACE TO HUNT IN THE LOWER 48 WHERE YOU CAN'T HEAR VEHICLES OR 4X4's????

You're doing Charlie Lamb proud in the tease department. that's all I'm sayin.....
BTW, if you don't post us a hint soon, I'm going to report the thread to the moderators and tell em it's not about Traditional Bows :jumper: :jumper: :p

Or Brandan Stahl.
Any time now!
? ? ?? ????????
Guys, I get to work at 5:30 a.m. and get home about now every day. Sorry for the in between time, I'm just not home often....
I have someone working on it as we speak that may possibly have more passion for it than I.
He is well known here. I had to pick the right guy, I now know I did.
Its life was thought to be over. But now it will live on much longer....because it is a little shorter!
and..........................
You deserve to be whipped with a wet snake skin for stringing folks along in such a way! Twice.
C'mon David!
O.k., you sucked me into it also :campfire:

God bless, Steve
Went back and looked at the off topic rules and saw nothing against the law, but it don't seem right. Had to tell the wife I couldn't handle any "Honey Do's" because I was tied up waiting on an important post than could affect my hunting prowess in some magical way! :D
:coffee:
OK... You broke your longbow.... & now you have a "Short Bow"
You pulled a mountain goat tag?
Cashed in your IRA for an Alaska hunt?
Got on the Hillary election team?
Your sister inlaw married somebody with hunting land.
Its a bow. It was dry fired, badly damaging the limbs. One bowaholic with a vision started it, but ran out of time, had bigger fish to fry.
I saw an opportunity and bought it up quickly, not knowing if it would ever do anything but hang on the wall.
But even if it hung, it was worth it.
It hangs no more.
Can we get a picture for page 3 ?
It's official.......I have lost interest. :dunno:
Heh, sorry to disappoint you. I do not have pics yet. It is almost done.
I wont bother you anymore until I have it.
:campfire: :campfire:
We're patient. It'll be worth the wait
I can wait....hurry up my friend:)

Some folks have less of an attention span than others but I can wait. Its not like Im sitting here all day anticipating this unveiling. But none the less David,,, I wanna see this thing. It may free up one of your fancy Tips.
Many seem to have no sense of humor.......I guess it all depends who posts what. Izzy, my attention span is just fine :saywhat: !!

Ron, I don't know you personally, but love you like a brother just from reading your stuff here.
I have the UTMOST respect for you sir!
My "okay?" was a humorous response. I hope I did not show you disrespect.
Whether you tolerate me and my lack of quick information given on this post does not deter from the respect I have for you.
Shoot well sir, and my apologies for stringing you along when you did not want to be strung.
:campfire:
I was going to wait until it was done, but not giving any info has started to make this go negative.
So here is the deal:
It's a Jack Howard Gamemaster Jet. Was 66", now 64" and pulling sweet from what I hear.
I will hold out on who has brought this beauty back to life until I get it home and can post pictures.
That sounds great David, can't wait to see it and hear the rest of the story.
:campfire:
:notworthy: We are good.........
Joking around doesn't translate well in text. I have gotten myself into lots of trouble that way. Can't wait to see the rehabilitated bow, Yornoc. :)
Yeah, text can be brutal!
Rather sit around a campfire and shoot the bull any day.
Yes, I agree. Dying to go camping.
Wait a minute, now I forgot why I'm watching this thread, but someone said I'm getting strung along but it will be O.K. because there will be pictures eventually, I'm having fun, I think ? :knothead:
:coffee:
TTT to see the jet
:coffee:
Hey David... Do I at least get "half credit"????? :biglaugh:
I told David that I took some pics befor I delivered the bow to him and he asked to put them up for you fine folks. This bow was such a cool bow. It did have a couple of problems though. It had been dry fired and broke the tips which required new tips and making the bow a couple of inches shorter.
Actually it probably made it a better bow. Its now a 64 inch and came out exactly the original poundage befor I fine sanded it. The tiller was way off , Now its just on the plus side. It was negative a half inch. One tip was leaning out from the way it had been sanded. I worked my tail off getting that fixed. However with the tillering I had to do I was able to side, dress it and bring it in. God is so good.
Anyway this old bow got a new life.
Here she is. God bless, Steve

That's a cool looking bow. Great that's its back in action.
Wow that is really sharp! Well done guys!
:campfire:
:clapper: Great job! Great Save! Your Tallant is showing again...
Sweet!
Wow!!
Jack would have been proud. I suspect he is watching with a very big smile.
Very nice job......... :notworthy:
That is GORGEOUS!!
Sweeeeet! Great job!
Is that a Howard Jet? Nice job.
Danny, I believe it is. 68" now 66" and an excellent save and restore by Steve for David.
Very nice,great job..
Origonally was 66 and 51 lb is now 64 and 49 lb. All the numbers on the bow were just the 66 and 51 so I replaced the old ones with the 64 and 49. All of the original logos and stickers are left intact. God bless, Steve
Steve, My apologies. To think I have 2 of Jack's bows hanging in my den. I remember him telling me back in the mid to late 60's that I could have any length as long as it was 66 inches. I blame it on age.
