Anyone shooting a similar bow? This is way off from my realm of arrow setups. I got my daughter a new Kodiak Mag 35 lb. She draws it to about 25" currently. With a little practice that might grow an inch or so.
I don't have any shafts even close to what should be used. The closest thing I have are some full length Arrow Dynamics Trad lites. They actually flew pretty good but I'm sure there are better choices. I'd like to have something I can cut to a reasonable length.
How are the .600 spines? It seems like they would be pretty fragile?
When she eventually gets shooting it well enough to hunt I would probably have her use a single bevel head

Some of the small diameter arrows are pretty tough, call up the guys at rmsgear, they can probably ball park you, I would think you would even want to go weaker spine than .600

Tedd, both my daughters are right where yours is at. Easton Axis 600's are perfect and super tough. I use them as well out of my lower weight bows.

They can be surprisingly stiff; I'd say if you use 600's don't cut them.

Easton Blues or Jazz 1616 or 1716.

CE Predator II .800's. You can get them from Big Jim or Braveheart. Tough shafts that won't break the bank. Get the half outserts for them and you can screw in any regular head.

Especially at light draw weights, I think K Mags match well with POC or,especially , old premium fiberglass arrows. A KMag typically requires a higher brace height, 8.5-9", so the power stroke is only 16.25" on a 8" draw. That's why they really pile up the draw weight as you draw past 28". Your daughter is likely drawing about 28.5# @ 25". I would keep an eye out for a set of old Micro Flite #2's, Most will be cut to 26" and many will have 75 grain target tips as that size was very popular for women shooting target bows in the 30# range back in the 1960's and early 70's.

I would second the Easton Blues in 1716s for practice arrows. Inexpensive and you won't have to leave them a yard long. As her draw length increases you can then work up a 600 spine hunting arrow.

Thanks, Good suggestions. I took some video and will post. I can't believe how well is shoots the AD trad lights. They are way too long but fly good. Even with a 2 blade broad head
