Well this guy that shall remain nameless has wanted me to make him one of my arm guards .
The thing is he is colorblind and can't tell the difference between red , green and brown .
Now my problem is that I have made all of the arm guards brown and he wants one .
My malicious side wants to stain his green because he wouldn't know the difference . But I'm not sure his wife and daughter would keep the secret .
So any thoughts on if I should stain it green or would that be to mean .
I might add that he would not hesitate to pull a stunt on me .
I say the brighter the better. If you can't mess with your friends who can you? You can always make him another normal one later. Can he tell pink from brown :biglaugh:
No, he may be sensitive about his colorblindness. He may not see the humor in your prank, and you could lose a friend. If he is not so sensitive, maybe make the brown one and insist that it is actually green, especially if his wife will go along with you.
I'm color blind, and I could care less what color something is; can't see it anyway. My wife has been going nuts over what "color" to paint our family room for weeks: 50 shades of white! She keeps trying to get me involved, and I keep ducking.
If your friend is anything like me, he could care less whether his armguard is green or brown. He probably wouldn't see the humor in it, nor would he be offended. He would probably just appreciate the arm guard for the craftsmanship you have no doubt put into it.
If it's an item that is going to have sentiment to him, maybe something he might pass on, I say don't. He might be a little disappointed.
If it's an item he isn't going to be too attached too, maybe do it for fun?

Well here it is , turned out better than I thought it would .
I am sure he won't be upset with me , just gonna see how long it takes to find out it's green .
I'm with Jason L on this one. If it's something that he will treasure don't do it, if not go green.
I don't think you guys get it. If he's like me, it's not going to make any difference to him if it's brown or green. It would be like someone pouring you a glass of one kind of beer and telling you it was another kind of beer. If you could tell the difference between the two kinds of beer, you might comment on it; if not, you wouldn't care and probably wouldn't be that interested in dwelling on it.
Nice job on the arm guard, by the way!
Very nice Graps.
McDavid what if he's not like you?
Then all bets are off....
That looks great! I would wear it.
I hate to admit it but it looks kinda nice . Had those bronze buttons and thought they looked good with the green .
Buy the way , the joke is on me , literally . My thumb and finger tips match the arm guard . Can't get the stain off . My wife is getting a good laugh out of it .
That would go well with the green glass that great northern and northern mist have !!
Looks brown to me ;)
You probably could of made it hot pink since he can't tell red, I like the green!
It looks great but I am curious why you wanted it green? just to see how long it takes him to find out?
