Picked up my deer the other day. After a lot of thought I decided not to fix the broken point. Thanks for all your reply's with your thoughts on the matter. I also decided to take off all the hanging velvet. Glad I did that also as it detracted from the character of the base points. These sure are beautiful critters we put so much time into chasing all Fall and Summer.

Thanks guys! Taxidermist did a fantastic job. I wanted the deer low so you could see all he has to offer when hung up. This full sneak form with ears back did just that. I asked him if he could cut the form straight through the neck area and rotated the head a little more to the left to tilt the base area more so it could been seen better as well. He did a great job and it is totally different from the others in the man cave.
i love it! your taxi man knows what he is doing...great detail work. nothing worse than a poor quality whitetail mount that looks like a feral goat. this one is a beauty!
