Well, the time has come for me to make a decision between two carriers. With a wife that also works full time and three kids, I just can't justify the extra hours spent working out in the shop...that is time I should be spending with them. With that being said, I will be ending my career as a professional bowyer and closing Journeyman Traditional Archery. As time allows, I will continue to make bows for family and friends and as long as I am able and have a shop...I'll be workin on something. I love it too much to completely give up on it. Anyway, I just wanted to take the time and thank the members of Tradgang, my customers, and the entire traditional archery community. I have met some truly great people and have made friendships that will last a lifetime.
I will be keeping the same email and phone number so if any existing customers need to get ahold of me they can.
Thanks Again...Jared :archer2:
Wow!
Hate to hear that Jared. Its never wrong, though, to put family first.
Good luck.
Ken
Enjoy your time with the family. I never had the chance to shoot one of your bows but I know you have made many people very happy.
Jared,
Enjoy your family while you can. Family time is really important, been there and done that. Never seen a tombstone that said Wish I'd worked more....
Show us some bows when you can, Brother!
I hate to hear this Jared; but understand and applaud your reasons. You are a great bowyer!
Best wishes to you and your family. You will never regret spending this time with them. My oldest daughter was married last week. Time passes in a hurry. Seems like yesterday she was just a little thing. Now working three years as a nurse and married. A little over 26 years has passed since she was born. Enjoy your family!
Excellent choice putting family 1st.
See you this Spring Jared.
Jared , I really love your work and am so glad you are still going to be doing it on a more limited basis. Enjoy t he family and God bless you, Steve
Kids are only little once. Make memories with them now, and you make more for us at the right time
Jared,
It pains me to see you leaving the professional bow building business but there is nothing more important than family. I'm glad I got to snatch one of your personal bows from you when I had the chance, I shoot it better than any bow I've ever shot.
Good luck in all aspects of life, hopefully you will keep in touch with all of us here if you decide to start publicly making and selling bows again.
Alex
Enjoy the younguns, there will be bows to be made as they get older. Keep the faith.
Enjoy your family ... you can make bows anytime but your young ones are only young once.
I truly enjoy my Journeyman bow you so generously donated to St Jude last year ...
best to ya, Ken
Jared,
I am very proud to own a few of your bows first of all... You will never regret this decision my friend.
You have been more than grateful with your business while you were running it. I know that you donated more bows to great causes than any two bowyers that I know of.
Stay in touch and bring them kids to Texas with you for a hunt sooner than later. I wish the very best to you and your family my friend.
Ben
