Title: Just ordered a Toelke Whip
Post by: 9 Shocks on March 29, 2015, 12:58:00 AM
64"s 50lbs @ 27"s

Bocote and Texas Ebony Riser. Black glass belly and Bocote limbs. Micarta tips.

I have never tried shooting a 64" bow because I havent felt it necessary with my 27" draw.  But I figured it couldnt hurt to try a "LONG" longbow.

Cant Wait! I have heard nothing but good things about Toelkes!

Sounds like a beauty! Be sure and show her to us when she arrives!

I shoot a 64" bow as well...with a 27" draw length. I find it to be the perfect length for me.

Incredible and beautiful bows, that would probably be my next bow if I didn't have a local bowyer that I know personally that makes an incredible and beautiful longbow similar to the whip! But that's the ONLY reason! Look forward to seeing some pictures!

Just ordered a 64" 2-piece Whip this week myself, can't wait.  Best thing is, Dan said my bow would be ready within 30 days.   Days not months.

It is amazing how quickly the Toelkes can get a bow built.
I ordered a 2-pc Chinook on March 10th and it will be done tomorrow, March 30th. Unfortunately, I won't be able to pick it up until Thursday or Friday!     :saywhat:

You are going to love that bow 9 Shocks!!

Congrats!  I have a 58" Whip and it is my favorite possession.  It is absolutely quiet (can't shoot it around anyone else without them commenting on how quiet that bow is!)  No hand shock and just feels right in my hand.  You will be very pleased I'm sure.  The Toelkes are great folks and make great bows.

Whisper quiet, smooth on the draw and a real tack driver.  I can almost see it now...Congrats.

And your wait will be short. Dan always delivers on time or sooner, and with the quickest wait time I know of for a custom bow.
