Does myrtle darken with age like some of the other woods do?
I haven't noticed any significant darkening after several years. Not like osage, that darkens noticeably in a few years. Most finished wood seems to darken over a long time, but I suppose that could just be a darkening of the finish.
I haven't noticed any darkening either. Myrtle burl.

Thanks I know Osage and purple heart does but was unsure on myrtle.
I have a myrtle plaque on the wall at my house that has to be 30 or 40 years old...seems to me it is the same shade it was when new

My bows have not darkened. I think some older bows may look slightly darker because of the varnish yellowing, as opposed to the wood changing color.
