Looking to pay someone to make a glove out of this cordovan butt like the glove shown. I want the total glove cordovan. Any advice?

That is a cool glove. I want one.
RMSG used to offer custom gloves. But last I talked to them the guy that had been doing it had quit and they were looking for someone else to do it.
I have an old glove that I had modified myself but it's starting to fall apart. I'd really like to get another couple made but haven't checked with RMSG again to see if they found anyone. This post just motivated me!
Another option would be to cut the pattern yoursellf and then take the peices to a shoe repair shop near you to sow them together.
Sorry meant Sew together
Every couple months someone posts about wanting one of these gloves...Grant Young used to make replicas with a real Compass Kodiak compass, about as close as you could get to the original, but he has passed now. He said he had an Amish shoemaker help him make them.
You could take the cordovan to a local shoemaker/leatherworker and see if maybe they could make you a replica from the existing glove you have?
Here's an old thread: http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=080288
If you search "Fred Bear Glove" in the powwow you'll get tons of responses. Good luck. If you found someone to make a bunch of these you could make a lot of money, guys are always looking for them.

Good eye Shreff!! This is Grant original. He would just grin knowing that we are talking about his Fred bear glove remake.
Great idea guys on shoe repair. I could cut patterns. I think a total cordovan glove would be cat's meow
I thought it might be, not too many of these floating around.
That would be pretty slick. If you find someone to make one be sure to post some pictures, I'd love to see it.
You might also talk to a saddle/bridle maker. They work with heavier leather but may know someone that could fix you up. You might also check at local fabric shops, they could have a lead for you. Have you tried goggling glovers or glover makers?
Cordovan is pretty stiff stuff. I'd think an all Cordovan glove would be uncomfortable.
Shoe repair shop that does stitching. Now there's a fond memory :(
Check with American Leathers.
Thanks guys. Will call american leathers.
I gave Grant enough cordovan to make him a glove with cordovan finger stalls and me two with cordovan stalls. Love the cordovan on the string and the feel. I am thinking a glove made out of total cordovan would look classy and slick.
Need to find Grants Amish connection
