It there a stronger tape than the Walmart types? I would like to find some to reuse some old arrow holders that have been removed, and the tape is no longer strong enough to reuse.
You might try a carpet store
Might try looking up 3M products.
I know there are several thicknesses.
I think a store like Lowes carries several types.
X2 on the carpet tape.
The 3M (at Wal-Mart) with the red strip is some strong tape. You might also look for two-sided carpet tape, as it holds good also.
How about that 3M automotive attachment tape? That stuff holds a long time.
I know I put some double-sided carpet tape from Lowes or Home Depot down to hold a rug in place. It was a MAJOR project to get it off the floor later. Stuff REALLY holds.
3M makes a double sided tape with a foam core that is made for outdoor use and for heavy weight up to 50#. Don't remember the specific name. I get mine at Lowe's. Large selection in the paint department. Just look for the heavy rating and outdoor use. Stuff is best I've seen.
carpet tape !!!
I use the foam core double sided tape to mount Sta jac arrow holders to the side of my bows. Never had a problem. And not terribly difficult to remove.
Thank you gentlemen, I appreciate you taking time to respond.
I picked up three rolls of two sided tape at a yard sale a few years ago. It is the best tape I have found for installing rests and side plates. The info inside the roll says, Intertape Polymer Groups, Sarasota , Florida. google it and lots of info comes up on the company and the tapes that they sell.
I have used velcro in the past for arrow holders. Good thing about it is you can reposition it to get the holder just where you want it. I bought a commercial roll of it. i also use it for all my arrow rests and strikeplates
