Looking to try some 10 strand padded dacron strings on some vintage bows. Recommendations on where to purchase?
I get all my strings from Allen at Ten Ring Strings...I'm sure he could hook you up! He does a fantastic job
X2 with Allen. I did a little review on the string he made me for my vintage Bear SK
I use Allen's strings as well - love them.
LBR made a string for my Dads 1950 recurve. Very helpful and easy to work with, particularly because I did not have an old string to go by. Very satisfied with the result.
All good guys. LBR is super helpful and makes a great string
Ten Ring Strings!! Allen is top notch
RMSGear makes top notch strings as well.
Ten Ring Strings!!
Lots of great string makers on here. I use SBD strings from Pierre Lucas and they are top notch threads!
Spend a Saturday learning to make your own and you will never regret the time spent. You can have any string you want/need at any time. Its the first thing I learned to do in 1990 something, even before making my own arrows.
I find that a 12 strand B50 string is plenty thick enough in the string grooves while giving decent speed and it is always easier to make a string that does not require padding the loops...if you can find someone who will braid the loops you will be amazed at how short a time it takes a B50 string to settle in...I am not a stringmaker but I am lucky to have a friend who is about as good as it gets and that is how he makes a B50 string for me

Champion strings LBR, Great strings.
I personally use Allen at 10 Ring Strings. I like that he does the tie on nocks included.
As noted, LBR at Champion receives high praises too. They're both sponsors so both support this site and the wealth of knowledge to get questions like this answered.
