Picked up my Two Tracks Pure Michigan Longwalker today from Chuck Deschler. We discussed woods back in December and I settled on American Elm veneers, a Walnut/Osage riser and I believe maple cores. I think he hit it out of the park! These veneers are absolutely stunning. I also had him build it with a straight grip since I seem to shoot them better. Overall she's 64", and 43#'s @28" draw.

It was good to see again Rick, Happy the bow pleases you. It turned out very well I think.
The core wood is American Black Walnut.
Enjoy it and good luck at wildthings.
Beautiful bow!

Very well done!
Beautiful!!!
That elm is awesome. Nice combo with the osage and walnut.
Chuck is the master with his creations and they perform better than all I've tried.
Enjoy!
Good looking bow you have there. Congrats.
A really pretty bow!
Man! Nice work there. Love seeing that made in Michigan stuff.

Gorgeous bow!
Beautiful Bow!
Very nice looking bow,and they don't shoot half bad either! Congratulations on the new bow.
Grown in America and made in America. I like that, and it couldn't be prettier!
I really like the idea of a "Pure Michigan" Bow with all of the woods in the bow can be found growing here in Michigan. I'm a big fan of some exotic species but this goes to prove we grow some pretty special stuff right here at home.
She's a sweetheart Mr. Rick. Had no idea Osage could be found in Michigan.
Possum, I cut that osage about 20 miles from my house, 6-8 yrs ago I think. We have a fair amount growing in the state. Some grow to be very large. I cut one that same year that gave me some 24" wide planks.
Wow - that's a real beauty Nick....
Fantastic, a 24" plank should make a truck load of longbow risers!
:archer:
Really nice, Rick! That osage really works with that riser and those veneers. Well done, Chuck!
Beautiful bow
Wow, that turned out fantastic! I really like the looks of that straight grip on the Longwalker, don't think I've ever seen that before. I think you better let me shoot that a bit in camp :)
I hope you get some arrows tuned in really good for it and start sharpening your broadheads! 21 days buddy!
Thom
Thom, I really like the straight grip on the Longwalke, and think you would as well. The last few I made for myself had that grip, and after shooting Rick's bow, I remembered why. Might be time to put myself a new one together.
WOW! That's a beauty for sure. GL with her.
